5.0 out of 5 stars They got almost all of them...
but...RGB have so, so many great songs and they are all not here...not possible. However, just like most R&B groups from the '70's, they have great songs that are seldom heard, but this cd is a good place to start for your RGB collection and remember, they have just as many as the Moments! That's scarry!

3.0 out of 5 stars You really needed to be in the Mark IV Supper Club (1973)!
Sylvia Robinson put this group together in 1969 as the featured act for her newly formed Stang label. The group that consisted of Harry Ray, Al Goodman and Billy Brown went on to be on of the premiere singing groups of the 70's and 80's. Harry Ray died in 1992, but Al and Billy along with Wade Elliott and Kevin Owens keep that smooth soul sound going today. They...

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding collection of hits, June 22, 1999

The collection could only be improved by adding one song to the list and that would be "Shoe Strings". I have searched for this group for many years trying to compile as many of there hits as possible and this CD made up for my searching.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ray, Goodman & Brown are Mellow!, September 22, 1998

I don't believe that this album is the Best of the Group's Songs. It is obvious that from the comments that were made about this group that somebody hasn't heard all of their songs! Try the Moments "With You"....Which one of the songs it that album doesn't say a million words of joy? Ray, Goodman & Brown hit over and over again from "Inside of You" and did you get the words of "Shoe Strings". Surely, you gest with the words "unsuccessful"! Check the hearts of millions of those who purchase the albums, tapes and CD and see if they are still playing the music of Ray, Goodman & Brown. The untimely death of Harry Ray was a shock and a great loss to everyone!

CALL THEM "THE MOMENTS" OR "RAY, GOODMAN & BROWN" I LOVE THIS GROUP!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best of Ray, Goodman & Brown, January 11, 2009

This is one of the very best CD that I have owned. Ray, Goodman and Brown songs Special Lady, Inside of You, Slipped Away and The Way it Should Be start the CD off right. I have given this CD as a gift to my Special Lady after she heard the first time. The song Happy Anniversary reminds me of my lady and I, celebrating our first anniversary together. All eighteen songs will have a special feeling and meaning that goes into your life and relationships. GET IT, you won't regret it.

5.0 out of 5 stars If I didn't care, would round the album........, October 19, 1999

Without a doubt, this group should be inducted into the rock &roll hall of fame. In the begining there was "Not on the Outside" which got the ball rolling, followed by "I DO", Lovely Way She Loves," Somebody Loves You Baby",Sexy Mama", "Girls" {With the Whatnauts},This song was also sung in french, as well as "Look at me, I'm in Love". This group displays the soul-stirring rendition of "Sunday" ,"With You",& Inside Of You..Let's not forget "Love On A Two Way Street". It was very sad to hear about the death of Harry Ray. He was the husband of Sylvia Robinson, who formed the group in the late 60's.Many other songs recorded by them are truly worth re-issuing. In the near future these guys, should be in the hall of fame...

This 18-track compilation of R,G&B's 1979-88 recordings for the Polydor and EMI-America labels is indispensable for all who love smooth and romantic music. "Special Lady", "Inside Of You", "Midnight Lady", "Heaven In The Rain", "Taking Chances" and "Take It To The Limit" are all timeless gems that still sound wonderful today. My only reason for not giving this CD a 5-star rating is that some tracks' sound quality is not as good as could be. This is, however, some of the greatest romantic Soul ever recorded and as such I wholeheartedly recommend your getting this CD.
