the song daddy's girl was played at my aunts funeral in request by my grandfather. red sovine has some of the gretest songs ever song sad but great. it's artist like him that make music wonderful to listen to.

Or more than a touch, really. For anyone who's ever driven tractor trailer, for anyone who has had family that's driven tractor trailer -- even if you know no-one who's driven those eighteen wheelers, you can find something worth listening to with Red Sovine.

While he probably is best known for his touching trucker-songs - like Giddy-Up-Go or Teddy Bear, perhaps - he touches on other subject-matter as well. In short, if you're looking for something to touch your heart and possibly bring a tear to your eye, Red's some of the best anyone could ask for. Granted, keep in mind that he isn't strictly that, but that's him at his best.

I grew up listening to these songs on this album whenever I visted my grandparents. As an adult, I have continually tried to find the Teddy Bear song on CD for my Grandmother. When I finally did, and gave her this album she cried, and I cried. We sat down and listened to it over and over again remembering days gone by. I am so happy that Amazon provides this service, of being able to find older and different music.

Yes he has the SAD songs, but he tells them like NO OTHER! and the positive side to listening to Red is; No matter how bad we may have it, there is always somebody worse off! So really his great music tells us to be greatfull for what we have. He is a Legend and always a top with me. I have had 7 LPs from the 70's and still got them today!!!

This is a excellent album Red Sovine puts alot of meaning into his music.

There have been many country singers who have written and/or recorded truck driver songs, but none of them even come close to the heart-felt "home, mother, and apple pie" songs written and sung by Red Sovine. I wish I could give this CD to every truck driver that I meet!

And, this CD encompasses Red's best songs! Definitely worth the price!

My dad and I used to listen to this tape when I was really young on the weekends when he was back from driving those 18-wheelers. Listening to Daddy's Girl, Giddy-Up-Go, and Teddy Bear with him is one of my earliest memories. When I accedently recoreded over the tape he was furious, and I am so glad that I could find this CD for him because it has some very touching memories for him and for me.
