This is a great CD. I recently discovered Jerry Jeff Walker's music, and am heartsick I missed this Country GREAT all these years. JJW kissed off the big record companies, and established his own co., "Tried and True Music".This was my 1st purchase of Jerry Walker's music, and it was a great choice. Walker is a singer, song writer, story teller, author, and more. I have started my music trip of his fascinating life and times, and songs. Discovering his recordings, one at at time, is like entering a time machine for the BEST OF THE BEST fun ever. It's a real study, and gives an extraordinary sojourn into some of the best country music and entertainment I've ever heard in my life. Dare to step in. You won't be sorry. CAUTUON: Guaranteed, you'll be hooked!

My wife mentioned she would like to see JJW, and having never really listened much before, I grabbed tickets to The Grand Opera House in Galveston for last weekend 1-7-06.He played most of what you recognize from hearing on the radio. The compilation of his Best of the Rest is a great batch of songs you can hear over and over again. You can just get lost in the music that makes this man the artist that he is. From the friends he's known like Charlie Dunn (look this up on http://www.famoustexans.com/charliedunn.htm)to the highs and lows of the life he sings about, this is a must have album.

I am pleased that I received the CD so quickly and it was exactly what I wanted. The plastic holder was cracked, possibly by handlers but the CD was still ok. Amazon has always been good about letting you know about your order and where it is, etc.
