This is the "Best Of" you'd mix yourself, if compiling a collection of Braun's greatest hits. The bonus track, 'Feel Like Makin' Love', is much more than a filler. It's a fresh, sensual cover of the R. Flack megahit. This is a playlist of one of Rick's exciting concerts, now available in your living room. Put this on next to the best of Alpert, Mangione, M. Ferguson, or M. Davis and it will still SHINE! If you're an avid trumpet fan or smooth jazz devotee, this is MUST HAVE music!!

This is a very nice CD. Rick Braun has always been a favorite artist of mine since '94. He has in my opinion brought back the prestige of hearing a trumpeter play jazz. So, for all of those people who like to hear smooth jazz played by a trumpet player, The Best of Rick Braun is the CD for you.

Every song on this CD tells a story and makes a statement especially "Feel Like Makin' Love." So, if you are a person who likes to hear someone play the trumpet or flugelhorn with a very nice fat tone, then this CD is a must have for you!

I really like a lot of Rick Braun's music and some of his songs are absolutely amazing. This "best of" collection compiles most of these tracks. My absolutely favorite song on this compilation is his 1994 classic "Nightwalk". This song took my breath away with his rich Flugel Horn sounds and the haunting New Age atmospherics blending with a great rhythm, this song is a masterpiece. A close runner up is his 1997 smash "Notorious". I can easily remember when this song was brand new on the radio and 7 years since first hearing it, this song has lasted very well over time and still is popular even today. Some other known songs are "Club Harlem", and "Cadillac Slim" which are very funky and upbeat.

This is a great starting place if you are a newbie to Rick Braun. For veteran fans, there isn't much a need to put this on top of your list unless you like the cover version of Roberta Flack's "Feel Like Makin Love".

Excellent music on so many levels. If you are in to Smooth Jazz, this is an absolute must have! The moods and transistions are inspiring!

Would that there were more stars to give to his rating. He paints a picture so well with his groovin' that you just can't help but be moved. He was the first smooth jazz I heard that made me want to explore the genre more. Right after that, a local (shortlived) station came on the scene, and played many more of his songs. I was an owner of two of his CD's before the next weekend came. Awesome, totally awesome, and too cool to express...do yourself a favor and become an owner and fan of his music.

One could listen to this CD over and over and find new nuances. Rick Braun's trumpeting is soulful, clear and refreshing.

The CD came highly recommended. I personally couldn't be more pleased with the mix of tunes and quality of Braun's play. Whether a horn nut or not, I think you'll like the CD straight away, and appreciate it more each time you play it.

This cd is very nice. I purchased it for track 2 (confused it with Nightfall which is on Full of Stride cd). Anyway, I am enjoying listening to the best of Rick braun cd :))

Although I love Rick Braun music, I ordered this particular cd (Best of Rick Braun) for track 2 (Night Walk) and the song on the cd differs from what I listened to on Amazon. I was disappointed with that :(. I do still enjoy the cd and will keep it!

I think if we could find a way to encapsulate and produce love, it would probably sound like Rick Braun. Each song comes full circle, which makes his albums a very satisfying experience. I love his work!
