But the music is still great. I wish there were other videos also. He had so many great hits, I'm sure a few more videos would have made me give this a 4. My absolute favorite is "Standing on the Top". It features the Temptations with Eddie Kendricks, Dennis Edwards and David Ruffin! They still had incredible steps, and it's a great song. You can see from the videos how Rick got his snaggle tooth fixed and when he went blonde! (Bad idea) But once again - the music is great. It's good for a few viewings, but it ends too soon. You'd be better off with his 2-disc CD set which includes "Cold Blooded", "Fire & Desire", "Hard to Get", etc.

Rick james had some cool videos. "glow" always cracks me up.hard to believe it's been 20 years.I remember the World Premier of that Video on "FRIDAY NIGHT VIDEO!! do you remember that show?? super Freak video is a trip.it's a'bout time Rick's Videos saw the light of day.good stuff here.

I love Rick James music, it is so exciting. Therefore, I was willing to purchase this DVD, although it cost a lot. However, out of the five videos on the disc, there were only two (2)good ones. That DVD was definitely not worth the price. I felt soo disappointed.

A must buy for any music fan! The music, the beat, the lyrics just great! He was ahead of his time! SuperFreak and Give it to me baby have to be the greatest songs of all time. Yes, at one time there were real MUSICANS! The Beatles, Prince and Michael Jackson would and always were and would be envious of the Late Great Rick James

Rick James was always a wild child in the days of funk. (Videos for: Mary Jane, Bustin' Out, Fire and Desire, Super Freak, etc. are just a few examples of his musical persona.) Though his music speaks for itself, the Punk-Funk King was as flamboyant an entertainer as they came. This "collection" will most certainly wet the appetite of his legions of fans, but Motown (and other labels) should come up with a more in-depth video collection. It's time the Super Freak was honored, not only for his talent, but for his visual creativity. Someone PLEASE take the initiative and release a Greatest Video Hits package (about 15 - 20 should do) of this legendary performer. Long Live The King!!
