The Best of Ritchie Valens is a nice compilation of Valens's original recordings. I had listened to Los Lobos perform many of the songs for the movie "La Bamba", but I wanted to listen to the original recordings. It amazes me how many good songs Ritchie Valens recorded within a few months before his untimely death. This cd contains most of Ritchie Valens's hits; however, don't expect the great sound quality you would expect to get from any other compact disc (keep in mind that these are the original recordings). Recommended for any fan of Ritchie Valens's music.

Arrived before Christmas and was a gift. The recording was good and it was a great gift for a lover of late 50's and early 60's music.
