Most of the songs on this CD appear to have been mastered from vinyl (in some tracks, audible "clicks and pops" are noticeable), or perhaps 1/4 inch reel to reel tape of show transcriptions or something like that.

I still gave this CD a 5 star rating, for the simple fact that "It's Impossible" as recorded by Robert Goulet, isn't available on any of his other CD compilations (unless I've missed something). (This is the song he sang in the Mercedes Benz commercial he did a few years back). Also some of the other songs are very hard to find in any format. Granted 75% of the songs here, you can get on his other compilations (which apparently are from original master tapes), but for the price...if you're a Robert Goulet fan, go ahead and get this CD. Untill some of these songs appear on a TRUE re-mastered disc, this is the only place to get them.

This has got to be the worst Robert Goulet CD in history. I don't care if it IS a bargain; even if it DOES have the patented smoothness you only get with Goulet's magic vocal chords (move over, Mel "Velvet Fog" Torme!); even if it does have moments of pure bliss... But I digress. This is the worst one. The sound quality is easily the worst, and the songs are not even close to the superb bliss of the "Golden Classics Edition," which always soothes me into luxurious ecstasy -- if you want Goulet, get that one. Of course, Goulet's no Burt Bacharach -- my personal fav, the god of the crooners -- but he's fab, and this second-rate collection doesn't do him the justice he deserves.

Please help me find "This Chrismas I Spent With You". It is for a special person for Christmas.

This is so wonderful - when I saw a 3 star rating I had a fit. I have purchased 50 CD's ...and this is really one of the best.Looking for some more of his - such a wonderful voice - and the great songs
