4.0 out of 5 stars Nice Greatest Hits Compilation, August 5, 2000
This review is from: Best of Rockers & Ballads (Audio CD)
So what if Roger isn't much of a song writer, he did Co-write some songs in "rocks in the head"......Great Songs here like "say it isn't so joe", "without your love", "one man band", "oceans away" + a few others. Too bad "Best Bits" is Out Of Print, now there is a true Roger Daltrey Compilation! Also of note " Parting Should Be Painless" is Rogers Best Sung album, although it is a cover album, somehow Every song is Good to Excellent, i strongly Urge you to Hunt this

3.0 out of 5 stars ONLY BALLADS, April 13, 2000
This review is from: Best of Rockers & Ballads (Audio CD)
Like the tittle say, this CD contains only great ballads sung (not composed) by DAltrey, who has one the most amazing rockin' voices of all times. But it is only for his mostly dedicated fans, because the ballads are so sugar, with Daltery's work from 1973 to 1980.

3.0 out of 5 stars Collector's Only, January 15, 2007

This review is from: Best of Rockers & Ballads (Audio CD)
This compilation covers only Daltrey's early career as a solo artist, 1973-1980, which happens to be his weakest period. Still, there are a handful of great tunes - "Without Your Love", "Free Me", "Oceans Away" - and a few that are just good. If your a Who/Daltrey fan who has to have everything, then you don't need my advice. Otherwise, I'd buy Moonlighting, which covers Daltrey's entire solo career and includes nearly all of what is covered on this collection.
