I bought this cd based on a review giving it top score. Unfortunately the tracks here are not original recordings, but studio recordings that lack the energy and flavor of the originals. Even though it does not cost much I would call this cd a waste of money. Go buy "Salsa Fresca" or "I love salsa"/"More I love salsa" if you want a salsa compilation with good music for dancing.

The music is fairly good. But as another reviewer said, it's not the original sound tracks. In fact, it's so derivative that nowhere can you even discover the _name_ of the band that's performing the songs. They appear to list the authors of the music, but nothing about the musicians themselves except that they are "Various Artists". That's kind of a clue!

This album is not as good as I expected it to be. I certainly wouldn't call it "best of." Guess I should have smelled its low quality from that tacky photo on the cover...

I HAVE THIS CD AND EVERY TIME I HAVE A GET TOGETHER OR A PARTY IT NEVER FAILS TO SUCCED AMONG THE "GRINGOS" EVERYBODY LIKES THE ENERGY! BUY IT AT YOUR OWN RISK! YOU WONT BE ABLE TO STAND STILL!!

I'm new to salsa, but what I heard of this, I love... the music makes you want to set your hair and fire and dance all night long! Good salsa is music that makes your hips move whether you like them or not... and this CD definitely does that!

Yeah, Whether you understand the words or not, Salsa Music Partying's the Best swinging around. First time when I got a Salsa music, I wondered I been hooked bonkers but when I heard, it cool clicked to me like the Lambada cd I had wimme. Believe it, Salsa is just fun n with multiple listening the Salsa top charts, one could fall in love with Salsa music. The music is chilling and so energetic. The words I never really understood but sure, I love salsa and after the reggae, this one's cool choice followed by mambo dance tracks. Pick up and feel the Hot, spicy, bubbling dance swaying numbers - Salsa Merengue's fun even though its not oh so original.
