4.0 out of 5 stars They wanna make us Shoop
The Queens Of Rap? Hip-Hop? Whatever, what they were, they were great! Now you can get all the party hits on one album! New version of Push It was a big club hit in Europe 1999. The new version of "Gitty up" did also alright over seas. Songs like "Shoop", "Whatta Man(feat En Vogue)" and "Let's Talk About Sex" makes us remember the good times of Salt'n'Pepa.
But I'll...

3.0 out of 5 stars Pushin' It
I only bought this album for the original version of 'Push It', Salt n Pepa's only song with an edge to it, and five stars. The girls obviously know their best tune as there are two versions of it on this Best Of CD. The rest is fairly standard three star stuff.

But I'll miss some great tracks like "Ain't Nothing But A She Thing", "Upside Down", "Champange(Get Down With The Party)" and "I Am The Body Beautiful".

3.0 out of 5 stars All we had was Right Said Fred., February 7, 2002
This review is from: The Best of Salt n Pepa (Audio CD)
The early nineties was a dark decade for music in the Anglo-Celtic archipelago;Bryan Adams spent 5 years at number one
Man Utd were on the point of beginning their Rupert Murdoch supported hegemony of the Premier League, and the only bright spot was the sacking of Maggie from No.10.Result.At last. Although, even the most optimistic of Britons would have contemplated suicide when faced with the release of Up by Right Said Fred, the major English release of the year.So.how can one express the relief felt by fans of pop when they came across the great work of Salt'N'Pepa?Anything that didn't involve naked torsos and six-packs(despite the fact that the girls would have put Mr.T to shame in the sit-up stakes)could only have been welcomed with open arms. And so it was to be;"Let's talk about sex"impassioned the previously apathetic, and confounded the blind who had worshipped at the throne of the follicaly challenged Fred boys,so much so that the baldy beefcakes buggered off for 7 years after "Deeply Dippy."Thank you girls.By the way,the rest of the tracks are quite nifty as well, and you don't even need to see the videos to appreciate them(though this helps.)
