The Best Science Fiction of the Year: Number 7
My wife found this beauty in an antique shop a while ago. I was hooked with the first story. It contains:
Lollipop and the Tar Baby, by John Varley
Stardance, by Spider and Jeanne Robinson
The House of Compassionate Sharers, by Michael Bishop
The Screwfly Solution, by Racoona Sheldon
Aztecs, by Vonda N. McIntyre
Tropics of Eden, by Lee Killough
Victor, by Bruce McAllister
The Family Monkey, by Lisa Tuttle
A Rite of Spring, by Fritz Leiber
Recommended Reading-1977, by Terry Carr
The Science-Fiction Year, by Charles N. Brown
I liked the first story so much that I promptly order two of Varley's books for my Brother for Christmas. I realize that the first story is put there for a reason. But it was an enjoyable read.
Highly recommended for fans of Science Fiction short stories.
