These are NOT the original remastered recordings. "The Best of the Seekers Today" is a 1991 release with 13 cuts containing newly recorded versions of some of their more popular songs plus several new ones. The original male members of the group are joined by the very lyrical vocals of Julie Anthony who replaces Judith Durham. These new recordings might conform more to the ears of todays generation of record buyers with their de-emphasized midrange and lush, streamlined instrumentation. Great road music and altogether a nice addition to any Seekers collection.

The Seekers, an Australian group, became world-famous forty years ago with their renditions of three Tom Springfield songs: I'll Never Find Another You, A World of our Own, and Georgy Girl.Somehow, in the first of these songs, I couldn't help but imagine a despondent typesetter, having had to set the text of some work about the unusual uhuru of ululating vacuums near Uluru, convinced that she'll "never find another" u. Well, the Seekers are here once again, with a recording from 1991. And with Judith Durham replaced by Julie Anthony. While both of these ladies are fine singers, I have to admit that I prefer the original Durham recordings. Anyway, this album has some pleasant songs, and I recommend it.
