I felt a great sense of personal loss since Duffy died. WHAT A VOICE RANGE! must have been his parents metropolitan opera genes.(they both sang there)when Duffy&Starling&Linda Ronstadt sing its magic! I was first introduced to "the scene" in their college tour days they came to montreat.the best of their recordings i think.

Although the late John Duffy, founder of the group is no longer with us, this album server as a fitting reminder of the group's tight, clean renderings of both old & new songs. Excellent selections

What's not to love about the Seldom Scene. They are great vocalists and instrumentalists. Several tunes feature the late John Duffy - what a great talent lost. I recommend this album to anyone who loves bluegrass, you will be singing along with them in no time!

I recommmend this selection for those who enjoy Blugrass music at its best,even though some of these selections were performed in the early years of the group the music has its own distinct sound.
