Shari Lewis is an extroardinary children's entertainer. Her loss to the world of children and their parents is immeasurable. But she and the best of her children's programming remain alive in the Best of Lamb Chop and Friends and her other videos. Shari's breadth of subject matter for children is broad. She believes children can learn and enjoy more than just the ABCs and 123s. This video is full of color, variety, fun, and quality. Shari allows children's wonder to bloom and grow, and encourages it like no other children's entertainer. She sings, dances, talks, encourages without debasing kids with idiot vioces, bombarding graphics, violence, profanity, and generally poor subject matter. Her choice of music far exceeds that of any other children's programming on the air today. It is true quality at the highest level..If you want to see more of Shari Lewis, call your local PBS and ask them to continue showing reruns of her past shows, or to at least make them available on video through Amazon.com. Until then, The Best of Lamb Chop and Friends is the best, safest, and most creative children's entertainment you can buy.

The only way this video could have been better is if some of Sheri's older video footage from the 60's and 70's had been included. Our son loves the songs and dances, never realizing he's learning to count and spell with Sheri's warm and familiar friends. We look forward to a Best Of. . .#2.

We got it from the library once, watched it on Youtube several times, and my brother and I were hooked. I love all the songs on here, especially the Charlie Horse Music Pizza songs, as I don't really remember that show (I was only three when it came out). My favorite parts (well, two of them, I have a lot!) is when she tells "The Pied Piper of Hamelin". I absolutely love that story, and Shari tells it so wonderfully. My other one is the Family Tree song. It is so touching and it can easily get in your head. If you are thinking about getting this, GET IT!!! That comes from not only me, but my little brother who absolutely loves the "She Sells Sea Shells..." song. 10 out of 10 for this wonderful video!!!

This will stay in our video library and we will enjoy it with the grandchildren when they visit. Good, clean fun -- cheerful and energetic.

... he has watched it hundreds of times, and never gets tired of it. The songs are really catchy, fun to sing, and teach important lessons about life and the importance of family. Shari Lewis was a great kids' entertainer.

Here's my nephew's impressions: I love the scene where Lambchop is upset about the application for school. My favorite song is the Button Factory song. I also like the Family Tree song because it reminds me of Mum; we watched this tape together all the time when I was a baby. I would recommend this tape for all kids.

It is very good for educational fun and little children. They will love it's aspects and the way the characters really love each other big-time. It's sweet and the little one's will love it. Yeah. Me love this long time.
