The audience is louder than the instruments and in general there is a lot of background noise on the recordings by the Leningrad Philharmonics. I started laughing at one stage, because I couldn't hear any instruments but only someone coughing in the background. In general the "The Best of" CDs from Naxos are not of this poor quality.

This CD is a great CD to get an introduction to Stravinsky.
Pucinella is one of my personal favorites and i like how the music sounds so fresh! Despite only having 1 part of La Sacre Du Printemps, The Firebird and the soldiers Tale definitely make up for it. Petrushka definetly brings out the Russian Simbolism that Stravinsky meant to show. This CD is excellent and i strongly reccommend buying this CD.

What! Only Part 2 of Le Sacre Du Printemps! That's sacrilegious and this cd will burn in all eternal Hell!
