I bought this because my old Styx song books had been stolen many years back. Those old editions are long out of print and very difficult to obtain now.

I was excited when I saw this book on here because it had all the greatest hits back in piano form. I first looked at "Don't Let It End." They dumbed it down by transposing it from D flat to C, to "make it more playable."

Then I took a look at "Babe." They left it in the same key, but they changed the notes to play closer to an "easy piano" version of the song. The only good news here is that after nearly 25 years of not having included the keyboard intro in the sheet music, it has been added here. That's the only plus I see with this book.

They've dumbed down nearly every piece from the original sheet music. If you're a piano player, like me, that has no ability to pick out notes, then this is a terrible book for you. If you're good at transposing and finding the missing notes and correcting the changed notes and chords, then this is a decent enough guideline. Otherwise I would say to just download the readily available MIDI versions of these songs and extract the "real thing" from those.

This is a great book for beginning students. My students can enjoy making music at their level of expertice. Thank you for thinking of the students with a lower level of expertice.

this book will take you back to the time when the song lady came out.a piano book with guitar chords,no tablature.i opted for this instead of the guitar version,assuming a hal leonard book would have it,my mistake and you know what they say about assuming.it has fooling yourself and superstars so i chose this.i have never seen a hal leonard book without tab,i have now.shame on them.if you are a guitar player opt for the other version,less than half the songs but at least you will have the tab.why does'nt the guitar version have the same songs as this?very,very dissapointing,a travesty.
