This particular "Greatest Hits" has mostly English lyrics, and a different song selection from the Polydor Italian version. I have both versions. This one is a lovely compilation of some of his best songs sung in English. I have been listening to Zucchero for a couple of years now and still have not tired of his sound. If you have never heard him, this is a perfect CD to start out with, since it showcases his songs being sung in English and therefore does not put a language barrier (in my case) between the music and the words. But, I also love all of his Italian versions and buy both when ever available. As a 'starter' CD this one is perfect.

I was fortunate enough to discover Zucchero while living in Italy. His music brings the usual Italian cheer to blues music. He has a distinctive voice that I would suppose you'd either love or hate. I like it a lot. This album is a must have in either English or Italian.

I heard a song by Zucchero a year ago and thought it was good then I heard My Love and I fell in love. Zucchero is so diverse that he can make you swoon over My love then get you up dancing with the next song. If you like REAL music with melodic sounds, something you can humm and keep with you then you have to have a Zucchero experience. You'll fall in love too...guranteed.

He weaves together Italian and English so well I don't even know that I don't understand what he's saying.

Zucchero is a must have.

We bought this CD AFTER we had gotten a copy of his Zucchero and Friends CD. This CD has many of the same tracks as the "friends" CD - they are good, but the duets are actually better. We are surprized that Zucchero is not better known in the US as his music is great and we love his style. Anybody who likes something a little different would appreciate Zucchero's music, even the foreign language tracks. If you like this CD, you will like the duets CD even better. I would buy another Zucchero CD and have shared ours with friends who also liked it well enough to buy.

I can easily recommend this fine Italian musician/singer/composer! Zucchero is that incredible musical discovery still waiting to happen in America. He loves the blues, but he can rock with the best of them and play funky or Latin too. He sings both in Italian and English, even mixing them at times. The emotion of his singing is so moving that the first time I heard it I was hooked. The more I listen to his music, the more I want to listen to it, he is totally addicting. This is a fine collection of SOME of his best, and a good sampler to try him out. Trust me, buy ANYTHING by this musician, you will never go wrong.

I was introduced to this album by a friend and I cant stop playing it. I just love the music and will be buying all the other albums.

The Best Of Zucchero Sugar Fornaciari's Greates Hits, its a very masterpiece!. Infact Zucchero with this album charted all over Europe: #1 in Italy(11 platinium disc), #1 in France, #2 in Swizterland, #4 in Portugal, #5 in Belgium, #7 in Austria, #10 in Germany, #15 in Holland. This album charted also in the South American chart(Argentina and Mexico!!).Zucchero is the most international italian artist in the world!!!. By it!!!!!!.

I got turned on to Zucchero with Feels Like a Woman on the French Kiss soundtrack. He's an Italian secret who needs more U.S. exposure--tell your friends.

I am fortunate to have both versions of The Best of Zucchero, Greatest Hits CD (English and Italian). When I first put the English version on in my home my husband came from the other room and asked who I was listening to. He immediately sat and listened to the CD with me and loved it too. A friend in Italy sent me the Italian version. Although the Italian version has a few different songs, I think the words to the music have a little more meaning than the english version,but the Zucchero style is still present in both. If you love the sweet soulful rasp in a singer, Zucchero is the one for you!

First of all, I LOVE Zucchero. I have multiple CDs. BUT, this is not the best one. Perhaps it is the only way to get him introduced to the American market, but I don't think it is the BEST way. His Italian language (and even his Spanish language) CDs are better, whether or not you speak the languages. Just something in the delivery, or perhaps, not understanding the lyrics allows us to focus on the wonderful voice, and the passion he presents in those editions.

I do love "Feels like a Woman" and "You've Chose Me", but overall, I prefer his Italian and Spanish CDs.

Still, if you haven't heard him, this is a good introduction for those who need the lyrics in English. But, give his other editions a try for a more beautiful sound and production.
