Design historian Mel Byers is a teacher and lecturer and the author of numerous books on 20th-century and contemporary design. He has contributed articles to a number of magazines and journals including Blueprint, Echoes, Graphis, I.D. and Metropolitan Home. There are tons of furniture books out there but this one is different from the norm. Not only does this book show images of the final product but it also has illustrations of how the furniture was built, the process of development and material call outs. This allows the reader to gain a much deeper understanding of the furnitures. I highly recommend this book.
