After searching tons of websites and other guides, finally a source that really details campsites and rates them on scenic beauty, privacy, spaciousness, quiet, cleaniless, etc, plus long narrative descriptions. This resource really helps you pick a campground suited to your taste - and with vacation time getting more and more precious, that's important. Thank you to the publisher and authors!

An excellent book on camping in Arizona. Used it for many campgrounds and campsites. Well written, very informative, and the layout makes it extremely easy to use. Ratings of the campgrounds and campsites are accurate and give one a supurb description of the destination. A great buy!

I spent four months camping in AZ in 2009 and this was my bible, loved every site I chose to camp at (a total of 8 sites).

pro: The BEST, has many of the camping site layouts included in the review. I like to know how close parking will be before I go. I also liked the personal feel of the book. How well they liked the site, what the didn't like about the site.....

Con: Book title is THE BEST IN TENT camping. Trouble is many of the sites are for RV's. As an Arizona camper many of the best TENT sites were not included.

The book is good if you are NEW to camping in ARIZONA.

I'm from southern California, but love escaping to AZ sometimes. The book details plenty of campsites in the northern mountains, but lacks places in the valleys (maybe winter camping?). It has quite a few places that I won't be able to visit until I have more time on my hands, but is pretty decent for those looking to escape the major metropolis areas. A good starter to discovering other campsites in the areas listed...these sites are supposedly the 'Best' though.

This book is well written, has detailed maps and plenty of informationm on camp sites in Arizona. I really like the GPS and driving information. I would recomment it and it is a good read.
