5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible, but complex, May 25, 2009
This review is from: The Best of Teresa Wentzler Collection, Vol. 2 (Leisure Arts #4661) (Perfect Paperback)
As others have stated, Teresa Wentzler's patterns are incredibly complex, and I would only recommend them to an advanced stitcher. She uses a lot of blended colors which can lead to some fabulous shading, but can also be a bit of an organizational nightmare. The level of detail in her work is astonishing, especially the faces and fine detail work - she tends to switch from stitching over two strands to stitching over one in places, and you can see the difference it makes. I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking to challenge themselves; it is well worth it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Patience, slow going - but well worth it!, January 9, 2009

This review is from: The Best of Teresa Wentzler Collection, Vol. 2 (Leisure Arts #4661) (Perfect Paperback)
Teresa Wentzler's cross stitch patterns are absolutely overwhelming when you first look at them, but with some good organization (bobbins for both solid and blended colors in my case) and a lot of patience, almost any stitcher can tackle these absolutely gorgeous projects. They are well worth the sense of accomplishment when completed.

I highly recommend this book for any stitcher who loves a bit of fantasy in her/his stitching.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Cross Stitch, December 14, 2008
This review is from: The Best of Teresa Wentzler Collection, Vol. 2 (Leisure Arts #4661) (Perfect Paperback)
I love all the Wentzler books. They are very detailed, so they're not for beginners. But for the experienced stitcher looking for a beautiful project, you can't beat her books.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Collection!, March 26, 2010
This review is from: The Best of Teresa Wentzler Collection, Vol. 2 (Leisure Arts #4661) (Perfect Paperback)
I collected Teresa Wentzler charts for years, but love these books with multiple charts in them. Easier to store and browse through. I use strips of manilla folders with holes punched along one edge, I write the symbol and floss #'s above each and keep the blends organized easily with this method. Once the blends are organized stitching a TW is as easy as stitching anything else with fractional stitches in it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Organization, December 3, 2011
This review is from: The Best of Teresa Wentzler Collection, Vol. 2 (Leisure Arts #4661) (Perfect Paperback)
I don't have this book yet, but I do have volume 1 and know anything with Teresa Wentzler's name on it will be great. I read some of the reviews for this product and it seems that organization (or lack of) is a problem due to the amount of floss used for Ms. Wentzler's designs. I use DMC's Stitchbos system, including the DMC StitchBow Needlework Travel Bag. I absolutely love it. It uses the StitchBow binder inserts, it has several pockets and is big enough to hold all of the thread for the projects I am currently working on and still has enough room for the book and the material.

I found this book to be all I hoped it would be. If you like mystical cross stitch, then this is a book to get. I'm a fan of all her work and this was a great collection.
