I am an avid crocheter who uses this as my "go to" book when someone announces their pregnancy. There are both designs that come together very quickly yet look very elegant to complicated designs that will become heirlooms to the recipient. I have many afghan books, and this one has the most incredibly beautiful designs.

I bought this book because a friend had it and I loved one of the baby blankets that she had made. We have a baby blanket ministry through our women's group, so I make a LOT of blankets from this book. The patterns are fun, repetitive without being boring, and always lovely. This book is not for beginners, though; I have been crocheting for nearly 15 years and I enjoy the challenges the patterns present. It usually takes 1-2 weeks to make a blanket, working every night while watching TV. I have actually bought this book twice, because my first copy disappeared--it was very worn!

This book is a go to for anytime a baby afghan is needed. As a first time Nana to-be, I will be using this book for some time.
