Now, if you have no idea in hell who these guys are, they are the people who brought you Birds Fly (Whisper to A Scream) during the end credits of the film 'Scream.' The rest of this CD is pretty much the same type of music, but actually is coherent and understandable. In a strange way, it is an angst sort of album that truly makes you want to do something. No, this is not the "in your face" type of album, but instead the album that explains to you its feelings. Many albums attempt to do this and fail. I would compare, lyric wise, this album to Dave Navarro's now popular "Trust No One." The lyrics truly stand out. The musical sense of the album is original, mixing the likes of Radiohead in some songs with a new variation of punk in others. If you are a fan of independent music or a fan of the film 'Scream' and its song 'Birds Fly(Whisper to A Scream), give this album a try. It will either be a hit or miss, but with me, it was a sure hit. Thank you.

I have never understood why some bands have a slew of best-ofs, offering the listener varying views of a band and others have to be defined by one singular view.
Unusually, for me, I would preferred a chronilogical singles collection, describing the band's evolution into one of the most inventive and brave bands of the 80s.
This collection is let down particularly by two songs: album track Shit Creek and the posthumous (and atrocious) Firepower. There are a couple of noable omissions: All The Daughters (with it's wonderful brass lines), and the band's actual swansong, Here Comes Trouble. In my opinion the two missing singles would have offered much more than the two odd album fillers.
On a brighter note is the addition of the excellent alternative version of High Time. It's not neccessarily better than the original but it certainly shows what you can do to change a song and keep it fresh.
If you can get a copy of the CD with the B-sides and rarities, snap it up. There are certainly some beauties on that disc.
One of my favorite bands done a disservice by this "could have been better" collection.

I admit that I bought this for one song ,Whisper to a scream . And for me thats good enough a reason to fork out the money.
But several other tunes are quite listenable. I would do it again
