4.0 out of 5 stars Cute, rhyming story
This is a good choice for classroom book bins. Easy connections to Valentine's Day pre-activity and creativity. Quick read, predictable and fun. A nice way to introduce the spirit of giving Valentines.

3.0 out of 5 stars The characters are SO CUTE
When I was in college, 20 years ago, I used to love Mary Melcher's greeting cards with soft, round, cute bears. I haven't seen them in a while and was so happy to find this book with similar cuddly looking characters for my son.

When I was in college, 20 years ago, I used to love Mary Melcher's greeting cards with soft, round, cute bears. I haven't seen them in a while and was so happy to find this book with similar cuddly looking characters for my son.

The only problem is that he's a rough and tumble boy who loves to tear pages out of the phone book and shred paper towels and newspaper. This book is an inexpensive printing on the thinnest paper. Otherwise the book is very sweet with a cute rhyme. It would make a nice gift for a niece or grand daughter who know to respect books!
