I am very proud to give this CD 5-stars. This is one of the best CD's that the Cathedrals have put out. All of the songs will touch your heart. The song "Wedding Music" if it doesn't make you want to shout, you'd better check your pulse. Great job guys!

In 1991 the Cathedrals were in a time of transition. Scott Folwer and Erine Haase had just replaced two of the more popular names in Gospel music and for a short time, although still enormously popular, the Cathedrals were not the premier group in southern gospel. So even though two of the Cathedrals greatest hits, Wedding Music and I've Read the Back of the Book were on this album, the Best of Times seems to have fallen through the cracks. That is too bad. The Best of Times can be compared to the album I've Just Started Living in that it is a very serious, sober-minded album. Wedding Music and I've Read the Back of the Book are the well-known songs on this album but the songs There is a Haven, Blessed by the Hand of the Lord, The Gospel Plow and He Came Up are thought-provoking songs with strong faith-driven themes. Not to mention that the verson of The Old Account was Settled Long Ago is one of the best ever recorded. If you have passed over The Best of Times why don't you go back and give it a try. You may be pleasantly surprised at what you hear.
