One of a kind performer,

As I listened to this album, I was transported to a Vegas lounge, and I could picture women throwing their panties onstage! You can't help but smile when Tom Jones launches into "It's Not Unusual." A great, quirky addition to any collection. And the album photo is quite something.

Whoever taught Tom Jones to sing should receive an award. One for being hip enough to teach him timing and soulfull enough to teach him emphasis. Anyway, this is a great album. I especially like Kansas City. Tom has a way of bringing a song to life - and this one rocks! Georgia on My Mind is a refreshing change from the legend Ray Charles. The best song on the album is "Sixteen Tons". I don't know where it fell in Tom Jones' life but his fantastic rendition still has Tennessee Earnie Ford rolling in his grave! Great song! Great Collection of a living legend! My only complaint with this album is that "She's a Lady" is not included. I consider that song one of Tom's best songs and should have found its way onto this collection. In its absence, however is many forgotten classics like: Danny Boy, Detroit City, Love Me Tonight, and What's New Pussycat?". This is an album you can put on and do almost anything to. Great album.

This is the Tom Jones that I love. I just love to hear him sing Danny Boy and he didn't disappoint me. I purchase this CD only because of that song. I have his other hits already, but I had to have Danny Boy.

Missing some other hits,

This review is from: Best of (Audio Cassette)
The Best of Tom Jones was released in March 30, 1998. This is classic Tom Jones singing his hits. Though most of them are on the cassette, some are missing like Delilah, Daughter of Darkness, and Letter to Lucille. [...], Tom Jones seems to have had more success in Ireland and the United Kingdom then in the United States. This is a great cassette to introduce Tom Jones to the public. Though I can go no higher than an A- because it is missing some other hits of Tom Jones.
