Here in the UK, for the past 20 years I`ve been looking for Tompall & The Glaser Brothers version of "Loving Her Was Easier" without success. First heard it over 20 years ago on a visit to Tennessee, it was magic then it`s even better now. The CD arrived today, been listening ever since, "Rings" what a timeless song, but all the other tracks are jems, I can`t get enough. The harmony is just sublime and so emotional, whoever it was who decided to release this CD, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You

The Best of Tompall Glaser & the Glaser Brothers,

I remember seeing Tompall, Chuck, and Jim on the Johnny Cash television show years ago. It was not until their music was used as a soundtrack on the movie, Tick...Tick...Tick..., that I became a real fan. The music and harmony all come together and touch you in a special way if you let it. In my opinion, the song that stands out above the rest is, "All That Keeps You Goin." I too wish some of Jim Glasers' solos could have been included. But still a great album. Hope that there will be more like it in the future.

A few years ago I found a cassette with a familiar song title but unfamiliar group at a local thrift shop and took a chance and bought it. That was my introduction to Tompall Glaser and the Glaser Brothers. I absolutely loved it and have been looking for others since. I was thrilled to find this CD a couple of years ago and have enjoyed it immensely ever since. I don't know where I was when they were active in the 70's and 80's, but I am sure enjoying them now. Their distinctive voices and wonderful harmonies are a delight to the ear.

Tompall--The greatest,

Tompall and the Glasers rendition of the Kristofferson classic "Loving Her Was Easier" is simply one of the most beautiful love songs ever recorded. It is head and shoulders above even Kristoffersons own recording of a fantastic song. I need only to tune it in to hear my late wifes voice, and fill my heart.

Excellent from start to finish. My mom heard it, and loved it as well. I knew it would be good. Enjoy just about everything I have of Jim Glaser. Great talent here!

Here is an artist who deserves a little more recognition. Tompall Glaser is usually associated with the so-called "Outlaw" movement of the late-'70's; this seems to detract from the great voice that he posesses. Tompall's voice can be easily confused with his greatest influence, none other than Marty Robbins. But, while Tompall is the most famous of his band of brothers, there are only 6 songs on this 24 track Cd which are true Tompall solos. I can't say that I am a great fan of the Glaser Bros. early sound, as they sound much more "folk" than country....in fact, a few of the early tracks on this album are pretty dry and boring. Still, the music provided here are well produced and the sound is great. Overall, I give the album a B, and recommend it without reservation.

First of all, this cd collects all of Tompall Glaser's, and The Glaser Brothers biggest songs in their original forms. It does not have Jim Glaser's solo hits on it though. The packaging is excellent. Includes recording dates and a bio. Very classy release. I never thought I would live to see a Glaser Brothers Anthology. This is really an essential cd collection wise, and the music is very interesting. I just wish they would have included some of Jim Glaser's solo work like they did Tompall's. Don't pass this one up, get it now!

I'm generally not a big fan of country music, but this is a CD I will play again and again. The quality of Tompall's voice is addictive. The instrumentation is first rate. The choice of songs is excellent. On most CD's, I tend to skip through some of the songs that I really don't care for... but not on this CD. I will definitely look for more of Tompall's music.
