This is a good non mixed compliation of older commercial music. Although I wouldn't classify most of the music on the disc as "trance", it is still filled with some of the last 2 years of club hits.

If you are looking for a good party disc, spend the money to pick up this set. If you are interested in real trance, you may want to pass on this compilation.

I love trance music especially with haunting female voices. This cd is chock full of that. But I am really dissapointed with the song lengths, I like my trance songs to last a minimum of 6 minutes, 8 minutes being better. But on this cd, most of the songs are under 4 minutes!! So just as I am starting to really get into a song, it's over. I feel like this is more like a sample cd then a real one. I don't think I will buy Best of Trance cd's again.

great cd especially when you are just craving some trance to enlighten your being on a miserable day love it even if some of the songs are older that doesn't matter thats why its called BEST of trance and not newest trance if you love the volumes 1 and 2 get this one too i waited for about a week before i got it and evrybody on the ship loves it it just makes a 9 month deployment a little easier so go ahead and give this cd a try and don't act all mtv made it mainstream and i'm so original that i'm going to give this cd a bad rating i mean people like that should just growup and stop acting like children and just close thier eyes and let the cd take them away. the cd goes everywhere from silence by delirium to 4 o'clock by lazard (which just reminds me of the party right after the rave where your best friends and people you may have just met that night and are just chilling together in an apartment listening to music and just being happy in a feeling of pure ecstasy and well being ) to beautiful child by madelyne and every song in between just takes you on a journey through the world of trance and when its all over everything is just peaceful in your head and you can face the world with a smile hope this helps

Every single track on this album is fantastic. The only one I ever skip is the third track (a lot of opera, not for me), but even it's good. Every other track, especially "Damaged" and "Come Into My Dream", is unbelievably good. I guess what I love about trance is this sense of drama in it; there really isn't anything great in the lyrics, but the way the singers always infuse them with passion leads you to believe otherwise, if just for a second. All in all, you cannot go wrong with this CD (unless your a purist, but if your a Sirius trance listener, this is the best).

This cd what can I say words can't describe it. I have never been able to describe what this cd has done for my life. All of the songs in it are so powerful and deep in meaning and emotion. If I were to recommend any cd out there this would be the one.

If you like trance w/ female vocals, then you'll want to add this CD to your collection. The tunes are uplifting, though the lyrcis can get a little cheesy at times, BUT this is trance, you're supposed to dance to the beats and zone out to the melodies, not analyze the lyrics.

If you're into solid trance with killer bass and great vocals(is it really trance if it's vocal??) then this cd is perfect for your taste. Awesome songs from the likes of 4 strings, etc. This is the best vocal trance you can get your hands on. I'm not big into vocal crowned songs, but this cd entices me greatly and i have got to give it a very good rating. Drawbacks are, as other reviews will tell you, some cheese when it came to the vocals, but the rest of the beats and overall performance of the album is great(skip the opera trance, it's murder to even listen to hear class culture mixed with high energy club culture- it's like mixing a bad drink of fine wine and red bull)but enjoy the rest of this delightful cd.

I give this item 4 stars due to the fact that it contains some choons that i love, and others that i can't say are bad either. As with most of the compilations of the label this is from, the tunes are pretty good,if not real good, but suffer from mislabeling the cd. I would not consider the music on this cd to be Trance, but rather a close cousin of it, being the fact that this is chock full of big european club hits, some of which have charted on Billboard's Hot Dance Music Club Play and gotten rotation on Dance Radio in metropolitan markets here in the u.s.
Most of these tracks fall under the category of eurodance as it was once called here in the states. Other tags that are appropriate would be Nrg or New Energy. I would not recommend this as a definitive Trance cd. It would suffice for a person with a casual interest in european dance, who normally likes pop, and wants a mix cd for their cd changer..or for a mobile dj wishing to find songs of this type no longer than 4 minutes long. For a good Trance cd and very definitive of what the genre is about, purchase the World Of Trance cd, or look for artists and remixers such as Signalrunners, Tiesto, Johan Geilen, Andy Moor, M.O.R.P.H., Ridgewalkers, Airscape, or Lost Tribe.

The short lenghts of the tracks, the silly lyrics, the oversymplified melodic hooks. It is just a bunch of easy NRJ radio recepies. This is not Trance, it is pop electronica for teenagers. I expect Trance to take my hand and make me dream, take me somewhere. This cd just bores me with its over-used tracks with easy remixes. I was expecting fruit nectar and I end up with diluted kool-aid. Just leave it for the kids, it is still a good alternative for Jessica Simpson :-)

i own many cds including underground and dj sets. this has to be one of my all time fav cds, i dont like 1 song on it thats it, all of the others are just fantastic. i would say if you are a trance fan you have to own this cd! i cracked mine in half by accident i am going out to buy another copy, and if im buying a second copy you know it has to be good!
