i had only been exposed to walela through their version of amazing grace.

the song is sung in their native cherokee tongue which creates an amazing feel for a wonderful song.

i bought this cd solely to obtain that track but i was also curious about other music contained on it.

not surprisingly, every song is wonderful. some are sung in chrokee, some in english, all are very peaceful but not in any boring or sleep inducing way.

though some of the songs are religious in nature most are not. but they all create a wonderful mood of peace that permeates the atmosphere surrounding you.

for anyone who lets themselves get lost in the music this is a must have.

you can see i don't do many reviews and will only review items that i find beyond excellent.

"Walela" and the "Best of Walela" are VERY healing and transformational sounds. Best to listen in a peaceful space, with your eyes closed, so that the sounds can work their way into your body and touch your soul. You will walk away feeling refreshed and revitalized.

This is an excellent CD. We heard some new songs and loved them. This group is as good as it gets. We love the harmony, arrangements and the band.

This CD is a beautiful work of musical harmony which you have to listen to over and over. You don't have to be Native American to appreciate this CD.

Excellent service and the CD is one of the most peaceful, beautiful pieces of music that I have ever heard.

AGAIN WALELA HAS PUT OUT A WONDERFUL CD OF NATIVE AMERICAN MUSIC. I LISTEN TO IT
ALL NIGHT WHILE I SLEEP. IT IS NOT ONLY BEAUTIFUL BUT COMFORTING AND RELAXING.

I some times go on trips to Native ruins or other pionts of interest in the south west, my drives are made that much more enjoyable when driving through Reservation land and the south west in general.

This is a wonderful collection of music, beautifully arranged and sung. The Cherokee Morning Song was a particular favorite, but the entire CD was wonderful, peaceful and moving. A very, very good "listen".
