4.0 out of 5 stars Hey! Where's The Bad Boys Video? Woo-woo!
Although I'm THRILLED that this DVD exists, I must say that it's quite disappointing that the "Bad Boys" video is not on here (it's available on the sure-to-be-now out of print VHS tape "Wham! The Video"). I really can't see why Sony Music Video has been doing such an UNTHOROUGH job on some of their releases! (New Kids On The Blocks' DVD is missing a video or two too.)...

2.0 out of 5 stars Where's the rest of the best?
I'll get straight to the point... no "Bad Boys", no "Young Guns (Go For It)", no "Careless Whisper", no "A Different Corner". I am quite cheesed off. I realise that "Careless Whisper" and "A Different Corner" are technically solo hits for George but they ARE on Wham! albums. As a matter of fact, "Careless Whisper" was released as Wham! (featuring George Michael). Please...

(New Kids On The Blocks' DVD is missing a video or two too.) This DVD also has an annoying sequence: it starts with the first videos, jumps to the last videos, then the videos that were skipped are at the end. Why not just put them in the order of their release so that we can see the evolution of Wham!? Sure, I can program my DVD player to play them in whatever order I want, but it's just the principle of it! Do it right, Sony! Having said all of that, the picture looks crisp and clear. The sound has been remastered in dolby digital 5.1 surround sound and it sounds great. Also included are a discography and lyrics in English and French. There could have been a lot more extras (maybe some stuff from "Wham! In China" which I'm sure willl never come out on DVD; or maybe other archival live footage from TV shows, interviews, etc.)

And if you're wondering where the videos for "Careless Whisper" and "A Different Corner" are- you can find those on the "Ladies And Gentleman: The Best Of George Michael" DVD (even though they were recorded during George's Wham! days, they were considered to be solo songs.)

And yes, the video for "Young Guns" is missing from this collection.

4.0 out of 5 stars The best of Wham!, March 3, 2001
By
This review is from: The Best of Wham! (DVD)
This dvd is a must for George Michael and/or Wham! fans to add to their collection. Most videos show something extra that you cannot see on the MTV or VH1 versions. The track listing is listed as following: Wham Rap, club tropicana, wake me up before you go go, last christmas, the edge of heaven, where did your heart go?, I'm your man, everything she wants, & freedom. The only reason why I did not list it as 5 stars is because the dvd did not include the other 2 videos that wham! had released (bad boy's & young guns). However it is worth every cent I paid.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Memories, February 8, 2001

Wham! - The best of. This is a trip down memory lane, excellent for both the music, and a good laugh remembering how we all used to look back in the 80's. This is a good collection of Wham's song's, and in typical Wham! style, the production on this DVD is excellent. The audio is brilliant - Dolby Digital really enhances the enjoyment. The picture transfer is also Fantastic. This is what we expect from both Wham! and DVD Video. A must have for all fans of Wham!, and music lovers of the 80's era. No need to Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go!.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not complete but okay for a fan, October 11, 2004
This review is from: The Best of Wham! (DVD)
The prospect of a Wham DVD quite excited me but the fact that the price is a bit steep and that all of the Wham videos are not on the set disturb me a bit. As others have mentioned no "Bad Boys," and most of all no "Careless Whispers." "Careless" was featured on Wham's album so it should be on this set. Considering the fact that it's less that 10 videos, the price doesn't match up to the content but a Wham fan would like this DVD, I did.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pleasant surprise, June 25, 2001

It was by accident that I found out "The Best of Wham!" would be released in DVD. Being a huge fan since the beginning, I didn't hesitate to buy the DVD, and I was hoping that this DVD would includes something exciting... It's great to be able to enjoy Wham! videos with DVD quality. This DVD includes all Wham! video except one, Bad Boys. Though they never made Young Guns video, I have seen the performance of the song on the british program, Top of the Pops, and I was really, really hoping to see the footage of the appearance on this DVD. I would've liked to see a little extra effort on this production to make this DVD "Best of" collection, truly the ultimate best. Yet, this is a great buy for any Wham!/George Michael fan, and I have absolutely no regrets. The short 4 years of Wham! are packed in this DVD.

5.0 out of 5 stars In The Key Of "M" and "J"..., Michael Jackson that is..., May 18, 2010
This review is from: The Best of Wham! (DVD)
Ha, ha..., listen up people; this Wham DVD collection can only simply be described as --- In The Key Of "M and "J"..., Michael Jackson that is...; and I say that because not only was the sound of Wham classic in it's distinctive quality and style, but they had a certain mystique about them that depicts 'magic' and sensationalism like that of Michael Jackson. Just watch and listen George on "Everything She Wants" and "Last Christmas". Ahhhh...., "magic"! 'Course don't forget, Andrew Ridgely was nothin' short of George Michael's protoge. I just totally loved them and still love them to this day, though the group is no more. I definitely give this a "5 Star" rating, despite all what those other whinners are rambling about the DVD compilation is missing a couple other great videos. This is great stuff by Wham..., period! And, I'm grateful to Sony for a fantastic job. My favorite 'joint' on the DVD is "Everything She Wants", because of the way it was shot and produced and especially the extended version of the song itself. Beautiful rendition, beautiful stuff! Thanks guys. Thank you. Ahhh!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wham! is slammin' and jammin', September 6, 2008

I first heard this when I was a teenager and being a fan of Wham! naturally wanted to buy it. I had been looking for this for years. Of course back then it was on VHS, so I am glad that I waited for technology to evolve =) and having the DVD is WAAAAAAY better. My Mom even listens and watches it from time to time. It's great. However, there are some videos that I wish were on there, but I like the ones that are included just fine.
