5.0 out of 5 stars Great voice, Great man, November 30, 2001

Probably best known for his exquisite duet with the sadly-missed Judy Clay (Private Number), William Bell is still belting out the tunes. This collection does a pretty fair job of showcasing his singing and songwriting talents. However, his 1967 album "The Soul of a Bell" is required listening too.

I saw, and met, dear old William when he played the Jazz Cafe in London last year. He was on top form, and sang his heart out - even though there were only a hundred people or so in the audience. 5.0 out of 5 stars How Can This Be A Best Of?, September 3, 2006
This review is from: Best of (Audio CD)
5 Stars for William Bell, still sounding , and looking great as ever in the year 2006.. But Where is his biggest hit 'You Dont Miss Your Water'?, and 'Marching Off To War' , and' Eloise -Hang On In There'? , and 'Everybody Loves A Winner'?,and 'Never Like This Before'? This Seems to be a compilation of his later stuff . Some leasing of Masters needs to be done so we can REALLY get the best of William Bell, unless ,in addition , you purchase 'The Soul Of A Bell', CD which has some of these earlier tunes on there .
