5.0 out of 5 stars hits in heavenly harmony
this is a great collection of their hits! it's really great to have them on one cd. their harmonies are exceptional, and i wish they'd reunite for more albums. to me, they're 90's pop at it's best. i'm glad the full album versions are included, and not the edited single versions. this would be a 6-star cd if their version of "daniel" was included, but since...

3.0 out of 5 stars Great music but was this collection neccessary?
As much as I love Wilson Phillips and I love this CD and I had to have it, it is pointless. I'll give a list of reasons of it's faults and reasons why it shouldn't really exist, here goes. One, in a series called 10 BEST are you not supposed to have 10 songs that truly are your best and most popular songs that everyone has heard? They didn't, I'll give them 5 maybe 6, but...

4.0 out of 5 stars Smart idea for EMI to do this., May 28, 2004

While some fans might irk at this idea, I like this album. Their best songs are well displayed here. This album shows more of Wilson Phillips' harmonies and their midtempo songs. They placed half from the 1990 album and half from the 1992 album on here. I thought that they would continue right after the second one--they'd be ten albums and many more platinum albums and hits later if they continued to stay together. But their new album "California" more than makes up for that long 12-year hiatus--I plan to get it soon. This album sounds good all the way through. They sell it for a low price in some stores, but the music is well worth it for that price. Very nice and gorgeous pop from these girls!

I'm not certain what inspired me to look up Wilson Phillips on Amazon. I suppose I wondered what happened to that early 90s trio. In any case I was pleasantly surprised to find The Best of Wilson Phillips. This CD really contains WP's best songs. If you're in the mood for some early 90s hits, The Best of Wilson Phillips is a nice choice.

They didn't, I'll give them 5 maybe 6, but not 10, they only had 8 singles not all of them charted, 7 of them to be exact. Two, 2 albums is all they have released, now maybe I could give it more grace if they had a longer history of solid albums and still only had 5 or 6 songs extremely well known it would be a little more forgivable. Three, Packaging, pretty bare bones, I mean what about liner notes! OK, it's not all negative. I will admit every track on here is solid and good, very enjoyable, but it still doesn't make you forget how undeserving it was. So basically you should get this only if you are a casual fan not wanting to buy the whole CD's or a hardcore collector of them. If you are completely satisfied with their two CD's and not a collector, this is un-needed to you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant vocals - brilliant group @}->---, June 18, 2007

This review is from: The Best of Wilson Phillips (Audio CD)
I've always loved Wilson Phillips. Together, their voices blend so well and they're a pleasure to listen to. Their music may now sound dated, but if you listened to them back in the early to mid 90's you can still appreciate how good this collection is.
No other song of theirs will be as popular as Hold On (it's definately one of my favourites), but I also LOVE Release Me, You Won't See Me Cry and You're In Love. I love singing along to these fantastic songs and I keep praying that if they make more new music, they can get back to this quality again (I also wish iTunes would release music videos of theirs).
This is a brilliant group and I still listen to their cd's even now.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hold On to this CD- It's worth it, May 9, 2000
This review is from: The Best of Wilson Phillips (Audio CD)
I love 80s music, but this is one of the few CDs I have with music from that decade. It's a great CD though. Wilson Phillips, in my opinion, is one of the best girl groups to ever exist. Their Best of CD includes some gems like Hold On, Give It Up, and You're in Love. All of the songs are fab though. They sound a lot alike, but most groups do. I would reccommend this CD to anyone with a love for 80s/early 90s music or who's sick of all those blondies and boy bands rocking the music scene today.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good music in a totally unnecessary collection, June 28, 2004
This review is from: The Best of Wilson Phillips (Audio CD)
How can you buy a greatest hits album when 6 of the 10 songs are from the group's first album? (go figure, the other 4 are off their second, and only other, album). That being said, the music still sounds great, but with another greatest hits edition available (the other at least has some solo cuts from Chynna and the Wilson sisters, as well as a few remixes), and the girls only having produced two full length albums, you really have to wonder if this set is even close to necessary. I say "no", but if you're only going to get one CD from Wilson Phillips, I guess this could fill the bill. It just seems kind of wrong to me, and more marketing strategy than effort to give something to the fans.

3.0 out of 5 stars Wilson Phillips greatest hits CD is not worth the money., November 7, 1998

This review is from: The Best of Wilson Phillips (Audio CD)
Wilson Phillips Greatest Hits Cd is not worth the money if you have their first two albums. Unfortunately, there are no new songs here, but the ones presented are their best work. The group had some very good hits, but Chynna departed and nobody has heard from her since her debut album bombed
