3.0 out of 5 stars OK, April 13, 1999
By A Customer
Jesse Colin Young has one of the best voices in all of 60's rock; however, he never reached his full potential, largely because of a lack of good material. The only cut on this compilation to make a commercial impact was "Get Together"; however, the best cut by far is the haunting "Darkness, Darkness", which by itself is worth the price of admission. The rest of the album is lightweight and forgettable. Buy it anyway, just for the good parts.

5.0 out of 5 stars MOST UNDERRATED BAND OF THE 60S', May 8, 2000
By Donald N. Hilton (Jacksonville, Fl USA) - See all my reviews
IF YOU LOOK DEEPLY INTO THIS ELECTRONIC MAZE THAT AMAZON HAS CONCOCTED TO HIDE THE YOUNGBLOODS TALENTS FROM THE WORLD, YOU WILL FIND A CD TITLED "EUPHORIA" WHICH HAS 25 OF THIS GREAT BAND'S SONGS. THE YOUNGBLOODS NEVER RECEIVED THE ACCLAIM DUE THEM IN THEIR TIME AND WILL NEVER MAKE IT INTO THE "HALL OF FAME" BUT THEY WERE BETTER AND LASTED LONGER THAN THE OTHER "JUG BAND" OF THAT ERA, THE LOVIN' SPOONFUL. SO GROW YOUR COFFEE JESSE COLIN YOUNG AND THANKS FOR SOME GREAT MUSIC.

3.0 out of 5 stars album contains one of the all time greatest rock songs., August 23, 1998
Ok. Everybody's heard "Come baby now, lets get together, . . . ." But, no reviewer has said anything about "Darkness, Darkness". A haunting "fiddle" riff and strong rock pathos like no other. What passion. Jesse Colin Young has never sung anything like this and probably never will. This song is one of the top 25 rock & roll songs of all time.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nostalgic Look Back
Certainly I agree with former reviews. "Get Together" along with Still's "For What It's Worth" have to be the two most symbolic 60s "movement" anthems of all time. Read more
