Yvonne Elliman has a honey voice and this collection really shows it off. Been a fan since the 70's. She is a real talent. You will not be disappointed. The sound recordings on this CD is crystal clear and bright. Enjoy !!!!!

Classic Voice and Songs,
By Martin A Hogan "Marty From SF" (San Francisco, CA. (Hercules)) - See all my reviews (VINE VOICE) (TOP 500 REVIEWER) (2008 HOLIDAY TEAM) (HALL OF FAME REVIEWER) (REAL NAME)
This review is from: The Best of Yvonne Elliman: 20th Century Masters - The Millennium Collection (Audio CD)
Yvonne Elliman got her start as Mary Magdalene in "Jesus Christ Superstar" and from that moment on, the seventies were virtually hers. Her biggest hit was, "If I Can't Have You" by the Bee Gees along with their big ballad, "Love Me". But Elliman kept high on the charts with pop heavies like, "Hello Stranger" and, of course, "I Don't Know How To Love Him". "Love Pains" was a big dance hit and it's too bad that the original long version isn't included here, as there is plenty of room. However, "The Millennium Collection" series never include long versions. The only embarrassment here is, "Moment By Moment", the theme song from the "love story" starring (um, drum roll), Lily Tomlin and John Travolta as star-crossed lovers (it bombed). But, the song is good and the rest are even better. Yvonne Elliman is blessed with that deep sexy voice that is unmistakable.

Super voice and makes you feel the mood from within. Too, bad she did not do more back in the 60's and 70's or now, maybe hopefully....
