I have loved the convenience of this little tripod until I got a new camera. The new one has the tripod attachment on the side of the camera and not the middle. The hinges at the top of this tripod are not tight enough to hold the weight of the camera from the side, in other words, it just flops over.

I am sure it would work if the camera had the attachment in the middle. So check the connection location on your camera before you buy. If it is a center mount, go for it.

The product is useful for my point n shoot Olympus but my Canon Rebel just pushes the tripod legs out from under it and swivels straight down. For the price, it's okay. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone interested in doing precise angle work with a DSLR though.

This was not sturdy at all, it would not support my camera. I guess the best part of it was that it was so cheap it was easier for me to just throw it away and buy something else rather than try to send it back.

I bought this to you with a standard digital camera and a dslr, it will not hold the dslr at all, it works ok for the standard digital but if your camera has any weight to it, this is not what you want!

This is a terrific little tripod for the price. It is an exact copy of the Joby Gorilla Pod and is built the same too. The legs are sturdy, but do require a little flexing to become pliable. This tripod CAN support a side mounted camera and does not topple over. The camera mine supports is a Kodak Easyshare with the tripod mount on the far left and it doesn't move even at the highest point. Another added plus is that it can be mounted or hung from anywhere and stays firm too. Trust me when I say you will not be disappointed with this purchase and you will save yourself 16 bucks from the Joby.
