1.0 out of 5 stars Leaked at the first try!
This is my second inflatable neck traction. The first (a different type) lasted a year before it started to leak but was still partially usable. This one leaked the first time I tried it & could not be inflated well enough to provide usable traction.

Since using this device, I have stopped taking my pain medication because I find so much more relief using it. I recommend that a person see their doctor first before trying the device because as with any traction device, depending on the cause of their neck pain, it may either improve or aggravate the problem and fortunately, it has improved my ailment.

5.0 out of 5 stars LOVE IT!!!, January 17, 2010

Wish I new about this before I went to the doctor and physiotherapist. I am vacationing in the States, I told the doctor I needed traction as it had worked for me in the past for my pinched nerve in my neck.

He got me to see a Physiotherapist right away. I was given exercise to do which helped a wee bit. There was NO traction machine in this town. I stumbled on this by accident. Ordered and got it in 2 days.

I am wearing it as I write. What a great contraption!!! I am going on a cruise in 5 days and this is coming too.

Best $$$ I spent.

I had partial paralysis and doctors recommended surgury. After a few months of using this 15 minutes a day my symptoms went away. A great product!

This has proven to be one of the best purchases I've made since being in an auto accident. It has provided relief from headaches I have had since the accident (5.5 years). Outstanding product!!!

Excellent product. Would have paid 100's or even 1,000's of dollars for the same results had I gone to a chiropractor.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cuts down on visits to the chiropractor for my chronic neck problem, August 8, 2010

I have had a chronic neck problem since 1995 mainly due to osteoarthritis of the neck (probably related to an injury that occurred long, long ago). Every day activities such as driving aggravate my neck causing pain to radiate to the back of my shoulders. Chiropractic visits help, also ice packs and my husband "kneading" on the related knots, plus ibuprofen. Nothing will cure me, but as long as I can keep it down to a dull roar and cut down on visits to the chiropractor, I am a happy camper.

The doctor gave me an ungainly traction device years ago which I put somewhere and never used; it would have required me sitting in a doorway. This device looked too good to be true, but for a few dollars less than just one chiropractor visit I decided it was worth a shot! It works!

I use it almost every day. I find it best to put it on after I get up in the morning (after my shower) and leave it on for about 20 minutes while I'm getting ready for the day and/or checking my email. I sometimes skip a day and I sometimes put it on more than once. I suggest you start out with just 10 minutes. I may have lost track of the time and left it on a little longer than 20 minutes a time or two, but I don't think there is much benefit from wearing it longer than that during one session. My neck feels a little weird after I take it off, but that goes away and I feel better the rest of the day.

My son recently hurt his neck and is trying to get better with the help of chiropractor. I am going to let him try out my Cervical Neck Traction device and see if he thinks it will aid his recovery. If so I'll gladly order one for him as it's been worth every penny for me. I was going to the chiropractor once every two or three weeks, I haven't been for two months as of today and feel great!

It might not work for everyone, but I suppose you can send it back if you don't like it.

4.0 out of 5 stars inflatable neck traction, August 26, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Cervical Neck Traction (Health and Beauty)
This inflatable cervical neck traction device operates as advertised. It should fit most neck sizes and is easy to figure out although instructions are included. In my opinion, it is superior to the over-the-door water bag types as it directly addresses the problem with little preparation. It is also very easy to pack and take on a trip. In my non-medical opinion, it does seem to alleviate the pain and discomfort associated with a problem disc and seems perfect for an "adjustment" after having had professional therapy. It is short of a 5 star rating based on its construction which is basic in quality but it does work.

3.0 out of 5 stars It does what it says, but didnt help me, May 29, 2009
This review is from: Cervical Neck Traction (Health and Beauty)
I was diagnosed with a bulging disc in my cervical spine. I bought one, because of the reviews. The problem is it protracts your neck far more than it raises your neck. This protraction causes the bulge to rub against nerves. I wouldn't recommend it if you have a bulging or herniated disc.
