About the Author
Educated at Duke and Yale Universities, author of numerous volumes of criticism and essays including The Puritan & The Cynic (Oxford University Press, 1987) and Reading Emptiness: Buddhism & Literature (SUNY Press, 1999), Jeff Humphries' stories and poems have been published in many magazines and anthologies, including Southern Poetry Review, Stories From The Southern Review, Classic Southern Humor II, Michigan Quarterly Review, New Virginia Review, and others. He has received an Academy of American Poets Prize, an Artist's Fellowship in Creative Writing from the Louisiana Division of the Arts, and a Senior Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Humanities.

This book is incredibly informational. I was writing a report on Bestiary. So I got this book.I was completely blown away. I never knew that there could be so much facts on a topic that I had never even heard of before. I recommend everyone who likes a good informational book about beasts to get this book
