THIS POOL WAS HOOP-SHOOP TO SET UP!!! AND WE WENT HOOP-SHOOP TO WATER!!! WE HAD TO LEVEL OUR YARD FIRST; USED SAND TO FILL IN UNLEVEL AREAS. INITIALLY WE PREPARED LAND FOR 18"; BUT IS GOOD TO KNOW YOU SHOULD LEVEL AREA TO 19"; BECAUSE POOL GETS WIDER AT BASE WHEN FILLED!!! THIS POOL WAS VERY EASY TO SET UP! WE USED AN AIR COMPRESSOR TO INFLATE TOP RING; WHICH TOOK APPROXIMATELY 7 MINUTES!!! SUPERVISE WATER FILL: YOU MAY NEED TO ADJUST POOL LEVELING BECAUSE THE WATER IS HEAVY, BASE MAY SHIFT UPON FILLAGE! ALL ACCESSORY PARTS WERE EASY TO ASSEMBLE AND WORKING GREAT!!!HOWEVER THE LADDER IS A BIT UNSTABLE AT THE TOP FOR HAND GRASP! THE HOOK AND ARM FOR WATER FILTER WAS A BIT BRITTLE; BROKE ON US AFTER 1 MONTH USAGE; BUT WE REPAIRED IT WITH A SCREW! WE PURCHASED THIS POOL IN AUGUST; WISH WE WOULD HAVE DONE SO SOONER!!! WE HAVE GREATLY ENJOYED OUR POOL!!! HAVE HAD MANY PARTIES: ALWAYS JUMPING INTO POOL, FOR SMALLER PEOPLE WE GOT A MINI TRAMPOLINE FOR JUMPING ASSISTANCE:-)!!! QUALITY OF THIS POOL IS GREAT: NO LEAKING ANY WHERE! REQUIRES WEEKLY MAINTENANCE TO CLEAN OUT FILTER AND BI-MONTHLY ADD MORE AIR TO TOP RING. WE HAVE ENJOYED PLAYING IN OUR POOL. MANY NIGHTS WATCHING THE STARS, PLAY VOLLEYBALL; AND SOMETIMES WE WOULD PLAY ROCK PAPER SCISSORS; LOSER WOULD HAVE TO JUMP OUT AND GET MORE PIVO/BEER:-) LOL!!! SO WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU PURCHASE THIS POOL, SET IT UP AND HOOP-SHOOP.....ENJOY!!!

This is a great pool and works out great for kids 10 and under, maybe even older I just suggested that age group becauce it's not very deep. The pumps and filter that come w/the pool are junk so we went out and bought a 1.5 horsepower hayward pump and sand filter for about 250.00 and i have not even had to vaccuum the pool very much at all and it has stayed crystal clear!!! I highly reccomend this pool but w/a real pump and filter

We have been using these types of pools for years. They are great, as long as your expectations are not over the top. They are a plastic above ground pool. They have a filter that just barely fits the product but keeps it clean enough. We use liquid shock for the chlorine (which they do need). They do need a level ground area. You also need to maintain it by skimming it an checking for leaks. I think the shelf life is about 2-3 years at which point it does need to be replaced. We have a small yard area and do not have a long summer season so to have a pool up for the whole year is waste in my eyes. Even teenagers when hot will get into this. I recommend it.

I have been very surprised by how much use our pool. The kids enjoy it and we get at least one hour of swimming everyday. My daugther is seven and can actually work on her swimming skills in it. Plenty of hours playing pool games like basketball and volleyball. It is nice to take a break from our community pool and being able to get some relief from the heat at home. eight kids can play comfortably in the pool without issues. I have to say that the only draw back is that the filter is not adequate, but for the price, replacing it with one stronger is not that big of a deal. Its great!!!

I actually bought this swimming pool for my nephew who lives in Colorado. My nephew had come to visit me in Las Vegas, Nevada and I have a built in swimming pool that my nephew loved to swim in. So when he returned home to Colorado he asked him mother for a swimming pool so he could swim at home. Well after hearing that I thought that this swimming pool would be a great gift for him. Quite to my surprise he absolutely loves his new pool. I have not seen the pool set up, but my niece (my great-nephews mother) said that setting up the pool was way, way, easy and maintaining the pool has been quite simple and when I asked if my nephew and his friends enjoyed the pool - I was told that this is his second home. Whenever he has free time you can find him and his friends in his swimming pool. From what I hear it is quite durable and has had up to 10 kids (boys) in the pool at one time and it held up quite good (you know how wild boys can be at times). So I would recommend this pool to anyone who would want a great quality pool that is easy to set-up and easy to maintain. On a closing note I would say that this company delivered this product as they had promised and it would appear that the quality of this product is very good.

We decided to purchase this pool for summer use for our kids ages 9, 11 and 13. Delivered on Thursday, and of course delivery was free because it was 'sold by' Amazon. VERY important, since similar pools from other sellers included $50-75 in delivery charges.

We knew we'd have to level an area large enough for the pool, and the kids were happy to help. (Believe it or not!) Instructions were to NOT use sand as a base, but we spread a very thin layer over our red GA clay ground to have something soft underfoot. My husband and son laid the pool out on Saturday night. Let the sun warm the material, to make it more flexible on Sunday morning and by 11:30am we were ready to smooth out the bottom and start filling. The kids played in the pool as it was filling - and by Sunday night it was almost full. Finished filling it Monday morning.

Overall, I say this pool was a very good value. Its too soon to say whether or not it will last for more than one summer - that will largely depend on how well we store it I suppose. I read another review that said the material used by Bestway is not as thick as the Intex brand, but since I didn't pay the Intex brand (higher) price I would not expect it to be. Even so, its now full and seems very sturdy and stable. We had considered a 15 foot x 42" deep but I'm very glad we decided to spend a few more dollars to get the 18 foot by 48". Its a good size for our family of 5.

Update: June 7th developed a leak around the drain, not patchable. My husband thinks it may have been off-center? Amazon sending replacement & picking up the old pool. Excellent customer service by Amazon!

Update: The replacement pool lasted the rest of the summer, with no further issues. Looking forward to using it again next year. Hubby decided not to drain it fully and pack it away. Instead left it where it is, with about 8 inches of water. Was afraid moving, drying, etc. would cause damage. He'll clean, etc. next May or so.

This is the 4th pool like this that I have ordered. Being single, owning a pool can be quite cost prohibitive. This pool is affordable to buy and maintain, and being a small woman I can put it up all by myself. Although this pool is not condusive to swimming it is great for cooling off and sunbathing. I love mine and will continue to purchase new ones when each one runs it's course approximately 2-3 yrs. I also leave my pool up all year with no disadvantage. I highly recommend.

I BOUGHT THIS FOR MY 2 YEAR OLD NIECE, SET UP WAS EASY YOU NEED TO MAKE SURE YOUR ON LEVEL GROUND. IT FOR THE MOST PART FILLED ITSELF. GOT TO SAY THE KID LOVES IT AND COULD NOT HAVE SPENT THE MONEY ANY BETTER.

I usually get the Intex brand and get about 3 summer's usage out of them until a dog finally ruins the top ring. When I discard the old pool, I cut off the sides and leave the bottom as a base and protection for the new pool. I bought the Bestway thinking it would be the same quality as the Intex. It is not. The bottom is less than half the thickness and the sides are half the thickness. I have two old bottoms from the 18 foot Intex pools under this new Bestway. The Bestway doesn't even cover all of the old 18 foot Intex bottoms. The Bestway is more like a 17 foot pool. The construction is not as good where the bottom meets the sides. Gave a 2 star review because it will hold water. Would recommend the Intex pool which costs a little more but is at least twice as good.

Also...The pump and filter are way to undersized for the pool.

This pool was very quick and easy to put up and has been a dream to maintain. It's easy to keep clean and change the filter. I have a 4 year old and an 18 month old absolutly love it and its not so deep that they can't play in it. We love our little pool and would recommend it to everyone! the only thing I would change is I'd make it come with a vacuum! for that tough to get dirt at the bottom of the pool! Other then that, its perfect!
