5.0 out of 5 stars Impressive Collection of Artists!!!, February 28, 2002

BET did us a favor and started a show called,"Planet Groove". And while the show received the axe in favor of something else better, at least these songs survived. These songs are by newcomers and old-timers. Janet (yes, that Janet. Miss Jackson because she's nasty) starts it off with her soft, "I Get Lonely." Mariah suffers from a "Breakdown" (no pun intended) with the help sometime R-N-B singer/rapper thugs, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. Mya proclaims her womanhood in, "It's All About Me", with former Dru Hill frontman, Sisqo. A nice catchy tune, without any male-bashing. Brian McKnight slows it down a bit with "Anytime", a perfect song about reminiscing on a past someone/relationship. Jon B adds his "They Don't Know" to the already impressive list of songs. Chico (good thing he dropped "DeBarge" from his moniker) returns with soulful crooner, Joe, on the "No Guarantee" (remix). Honestly, folks, I like this one better than the original. Next sings the praises of a woman "who has that bomb lovemaking. She also has a "...sundress on, feet pedicured with no corns..." in "Butta Love." (Sounds like someone has a foot fetish to me. But hey, whatever floats your boat.) Ms. Badu comes back and brings and ill-fated unwanted visitor, "Tyrone." In the opening lines, you can feel her animosity. "I'm getting tired of your ...!" {Gee, if breaking up was just that easy!} That was an original, that came (surprise!) impromptu but was also featured on her "Live!" album as well as a remix that was even longer. Keith Sweat, Johnny Gill and Gerald Levert formed the ill-fated group, LSG. But before they split and went on their separate ways, they created the monster hit, "My Body". Lyrics like..."want to feel your precious treasure wrapped around me oh-so-tightly. In, out and want to hear you shout...", you'll see why women were losing their minds all over the world!!! R. Kelly's protege, Sparkle, reminds that we should "Be Careful." Montell Jordan gets down and dirty with the help of Master "Make'em Say Unggghhhh" P. and his brother, Silk the Shocker on "Let's Ride," where he sings about a woman being "5'5, 146 and wearing nothing but a Gstring. Chocolate lips and sexy thighs..." I think you get the picture! SWV sings about "The Rain", a slow tune about someone's love coming down like rain. Boyz II Men give praises to their mommas on "A Song for Mama", a tune that was first featured on the Soul Food Sdtrk. I think I liked it better on that sdtrk than I do here. There is entirely too much raunchiness going on to be singing to Mama. Xscape returns to their roots, as well as their churchy-sound, on "The Arms Of The One Who Loves You," a slow tune about if things just don't work out, I can kiss away your boo-boo's and make it better! This entire album is worth the money that I spent and then some. Go get this one!

5.0 out of 5 stars This is the most bomb CD out!, April 15, 1999
By A Customer

This CD is so bomb. It has every song that I like. This saves me money because I like to go and buy my favorite songs, but the I would have to buy alot of different CD's for one song each. This is the most bomb idea out, all the best songs out in one CD. My personal favorite(aside from all the other ones on the CD) is Mariah Carey in "Breakdown". That is truely the best. I love this CD and I love Planet groove. Keep doing ya' thang Rachel!
