Get For First Tiem Estimators,
By Elizabeth Houston (Tucson, AZ USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Betcha! Estimating (Mathstart, Level 3) (Paperback)
This is a great book for children who know how to estimate and for those who are just learing. This book is filled with pictures and illistrations on how you would estimate wiht a many number of things. A thing that I liked about this book is that it just wasn't estimating how a many of cars or jellybeans, but it was also prices in a store window. Another thing that I liked about this book is that at the end it give helpful teaching tips on how to read the book to your or any child. This is why I would recommend this book to any parent or teacher with a child who need help estimating or just wants to have a review.

I'm a big fan of Stuart J. Murphy because the books show kids interacting nicely and with manners, in addition to teaching the math concepts in a straight-forward and comprehensible way.Betcha! features two friends, one of whom is good at figuring things out using multiplication and estimation. This one is a keeper. |
