Book Description

Bethany And The Zombie Jesus: A Novelette
Young Bethany has spent her entire life trying to be righteous and just in the eyes of the Lord. She has worked hard to please her Mama and to make sure she could live up to the trust Reverend Jones had put in her.

Now Bethany's faith and life are put to the test as what she always thought was a stone-likeness of the Lord Jesus Christ decides it doesn't want to be up on that cross anymore!
Can Bethany stop the Zombie Jesus before he brings the End of Days upon the Earth?

With 11 other tales of horror and grotesquery ranging from deep space terror (Through The Last WH) to bedbug bizarro (All The Freaky Bedbugs Of The World) and dark horror fantasy (Leather Belts & Wooden Spoons), this collection has a little bit of something for all the warped minds in the world!

Enjoy!

Entire collection is 39,000 words

Like some of the stories better than others, but all were a cool read. Takes you all over the place with the stories.Wish some would continue with the wild ideas and plots the author has dreamed upl

5.0 out of 5 stars Bizarre, Twisted & Warped January 8, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Jake Bible has a bizarre, twisted, irreverent and warped imagination...and I love it. This collection of short stories is a mix, some subtle horror while others being more in-your-face, gory and grotesque. The lead novelette, Bethany & the Zombie Jesus, is an irreverent and fascinating romp and one which I thoroughly enjoyed. The story "Blister" is not for the squeamish but is a delightfully twisted tale and one of my favorites from the collection. I also very much enjoyed "All The Freaky Bedbugs Of The World," which is another offbeat and warped tale. You certainly won't be bored with these short stories.

4.0 out of 5 stars Worth some time and money - but not too much August 30, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The title story is far, far-fetched. Other stories are vulgar or gruesome. BUT I think I got my $3 worth from this book. Just be warned that it's what you're getting.

5.0 out of 5 stars Please Fix the Formatting! July 27, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I downloaded a sample of this. I loved it, but there's one issue: the formatting. As a writer, it's really difficult to look at. I would imagine it bothers a good deal of readers too. But it's only the formatting that's preventing me from purchasing this. As soon as it's been corrected I'll buy it that day. The characters were intriguing, the story immediately reached out and grabbed me, and I was desperate to know more. Jake Bible's writing is very crisp and while I'm waiting on this particular ebook to be fixed I'll probably check out a couple other ones.

***Just purchased and I'm currently reading this. I changed it to five stars based on the sample I read and will keep it there until I have reason to change it***
