Beautiful Tree, December 23, 2006
This review is from: Bethlehem Lights 7-1/2 Foot Flocked Telluride Christmas Tree Pre-Lit with Clear Lamps (Kitchen)
When I set the first section into the base, unwired it and it flopped open, I felt a little like Clark Griswold (Christmas Vacation) when he cut the rope on the cut tree they lugged home... it was larger than anticipated and consumed much of the living room it had been intended for!
So I put it in the larger family room that has a cathedral ceiling, fluffed up the branches and by the time I was done, it looked like the decorator trees you see all done up in the stores! It's heavy yet very stable on the base and has just the right amount of lights (for me) so that it doesn't overpower the room or require sunglasses to look at. At 7.5 feet, it is tall but I put it on top of a low narrow coffee table so that there would be space underneath it for presents. When people walk into the room, their jaws drop and they have a nice time looking in all the nooks and crannies for the special ornaments and toys nestled in it.
After having walked away from the $350-500 trees in the specialty stores, I am so glad that I impulsively looked at Amazon and found this. It arrived in two days giving me plenty of time to make it beautiful for the holiday.

Nice Tree - great price., January 9, 2007
This review is from: Bethlehem Lights 7-1/2 Foot Flocked Telluride Christmas Tree Pre-Lit with Clear Lamps (Kitchen)
I got this tree at Amazon for $200 less than other sites selling it.
It looks great. I got a lot of compliments on it. It has a lot of room between the branches for ornaments which is what I wanted. The flocking on it is just right...just on the tips as if snow actually fell on it.
The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is that I did feel like the branches drooped just a little with my ornaments. It wasn't bad though.

Much greater than the sum of its parts, November 7, 2007
This review is from: Bethlehem Lights 7-1/2 Foot Flocked Telluride Christmas Tree Pre-Lit with Clear Lamps (Kitchen)
I purchased one of the last of these trees so I don't know if this review will be of any help unless Amazon acquires more in the next few weeks. I feel compelled however to rate this most unusual tree.
I would give this 2 ratings: 3-1/2 stars for construction and materials,
5 stars for appearance. I purchased this mainly because of it's unconvention downswept design which gives it, at least in the photo, a very unique and realistic appearance. From the time I opened the box till
I finished assembly, I went from mildly dissapointed to fairly amazed. The biggest downfall is the quality of the needles. A trend for trees in this price range is the use of moulded needles on brown branches (GE Just Cut Trees are an example) which are light years ahead of the shredded garbage bag rectagular PVC needles of this and most inexpensive trees on the market. The trunk of this tree is camoflaged in green needles, not in simulated wood. There is no foot switch for the lights, just a plug. So far, not even close to a $300.00 tree.
Now for the good: The branch hinges are sturdy and the tree assembles easily. As another reviewer noted you will get some glitter and flocking on you and the surroundings. It cleans up in a few minutes and is not enough to affect the tree. Once I began opening and shaping all of the small inner and large outer branches (carefully preserving the downswept look of the tree)I began to marvel at how a tree constructed of such modest materials bloomed into one of the most beautiful and realistic trees I have ever seen. The credit goes to whoever designed and sculpted this tree-it is unique. The flocking is just right-very random and just on the tips and it masks the inferior needles. The outer branches give it that great natural look while the the inner branches provide just enough filler. The result is a tree that looks great without ornaments. All of the lights came on the first time I plugged it in, and they add to the illusion of reality. I only set up this tree temporarily to see if it sustained any damage during shipping,I have not finished shaping it, yet EVERY person who sees it for the first time comments on how natural and unique it is, many think it is real until they study it close up. Most want to know where they can get one. As I stated in the title, it is much greater that the sum of its parts.
