Gender discrimination,

This review is from: Betrayal: The Shattering Sex Discrimination Case of Silver Vs. Pacific Press Publishing Association (Paperback)
I followed the gender discrimination suit by Merikay closely when it occurred in the 1970's. This is a personal account by her of this very difficult time, both for her and the SDA church. Because it has been 30 years since the case, it is difficult today to believe that employers found it justified to pay men employees more than women (because they were "head of household.") I admired Merikay then and still do. She had real courage. The book is written in a somewhat choppy manner and she, naturally, clearly had resentment against specific individuals involved. Fortunately for those of us who have come after her, the way the SDA church treats women changed because of her.
