Buzz Magazine - Rod Lurie

"A terrific film"

Product Description

"Point of Betrayal" is the story of what happens when a family is too rich for its own good. A wealthy widow (Dina Merril) marries a new husband (Rod Taylor) much to the dismay of her wayward, wealthy son (Rick Johnson). His sister (Ann Cusack) arrives to smooth things over, but the son decides to hire a private nurse (Rebecca Broussard) with a shady background to keep his mother in advanced stages of dementia through drugs and treachery. When her husband realizes what the son is up to, it's too late - though able to foil a murder attempt he isn't able to save his wife. But the son has one more surprise in store for him courtesy of his step father, who notes "Absolute money corrupts absolutely."

4.0 out of 5 stars Great acting!, September 10, 2002

This review is from: Point of Betrayal (DVD)
This film has some old school actors as well as some new talent.
And they do a great job. Why you don't see them in more films is beyond me. It's hard to belive what money can make some people do. You watch this film and you will think twice about wanting to be rich. Like they say, money can't buy happiness or love.

I worked on this film here in Palm Beach while it was being made; was a grip and a gaffer at times for the production and had the chance to meet and work with Rod Taylor, Dina Merrill , Rebecca Broussard, Richard Martini, Johnathan Krane and a wonderful crew!
At the time, it was titled Underground Love.
