The sex scenes were great and it had enough action.

If you love Eve's books you won't be disappointed with this one and if you have never tried her books please read the first one in this series first.

Bailey escapes a kidnapping only to run into a super-hot naked man in the middle of the woods. But this man, as it turns out, is not alone and the four men are now keeping her against her will. She cannot believe that she is having the worst luck ever, or is it? The four hunks turn out to be werewolves and they want her for their mate.

But, it is meant to be? Bailey has an evil force out to get his clutches on her, and Bailey has to determine what she really wants for her future before it is too late.

Eve Langlais has created a smoking hot world of humans and werewolves in Betraying the Pack. I love how Bailey escapes kidnappers only to be held against her will by another group, though these have a much better future planned for her. I hope we will see more of Bailey and her men in future pack stories by Ms. Langlais.

After reading some of the other reviews I was so worried about the ending of this book. I am so glad that I decided buy it anyways. I sure not everyone will agree with me but I totally got the ending and loved the cliffhanger leading into book 3. To me this was no huge cliffhanger and I thought it was handled great. I totally recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good read.

As always A very good read. The characters were well developed and easy to fall in love with.

**Spoiler**

I feel feel compelled to comment and I am sure fellow readers will agree, I was really mad that Bailey and all the rest of her mates were so o.k. with moving on after Jaxon's supposed demise. They never go back to check on him? And she moves on awful fast. Even though she believes he is alive, never makes them check it out to find out. That tirade over with, I can't wait for the next book. It was truly a wonderful read. Keep up with the good work! :)

**Spoiler Alert**
HATED THE ENDING. The 4th mate was under the bad guy’s mind control, and took the heroine to the bad guy. But he ended up fighting the mind control, and overpowering the bad guy long enough to throw himself and the bad guy over a cliff. She didn’t seem so broken up when she saw one of her mates die while he screamed he loved her and he was sorry. Then when she had an inkling that he survived, she seemed so dismissive that he was being held prisoner and being tortured. But I guess because she already had 3 other guys, why worry about the 4th. And she didn’t even tell anyone that she believed he was still alive, she just had an inkling that they already knew. She went through the torture for only 5 days, but her mate by the end of the book has been going through it for about 5-9 months, while she didn’t seem to care much about it. She was not a good heroine. The 4th saved them in the end and look at the thanks he got. Being left to be tortured.

So many unanswered questions: what did the bad guy actually do to the girl during that 5 days; why would she and everyone assume she was not raped or tortured or anything during that time of her being held hostage (that is plain stupid, especially when they find out she can heal quickly); why did she start changing really, was it because of something the bad guy did to her during the 5 days (seems the most likely), or did it really have to do with meeting her mates; how could ALL THE PACKS IN AMERICA not realize dormant wolves can become full wolves if they meet their true mates; when will they go find the fourth (will they ever put the effort to find him and save him).

I'm sorry to give this such a bad review. I actually love Eve Langlais's books for the most part. I love the ones she did about Aliens. Could not put them down. So maybe she just had one bad book. But

Okay, I liked this book in that it developed more of the story from "Defying Pack Laws". I also liked the characters - Bailey and her men were enjoyable! The plot was pretty good, and Eve Langlais is a good writer - I love her stuff! Though for some reason I didn't like "Betraying the Pack" QUITE as much as the first book, or her other stories, and found myself distracted repeatedly.

And I was terribly sad at the end! I can't think of anything worse than knowing someone you love is out there tortured! To me, that's so much worse than death - it's a whole new level of "worse".

Also, I feel like the pack should have learned this "Roderick doesn't die so easily" lesson in the last book. I mean, if he can survive a silver bullet in the head, he can survive a fall from a cliff... really!

However, that said, I can't wait for the next one because I really, really, really, really, really want Jaxom rescued before he's completely broken! I can't take this!!!! He's an injured-hero and should be recovering with his family! Aarrrggg!

This is Eve's second book in the Pack series, it starts out with a bang and ends with one too. Just as the first in the series this one is full of fast action, mystery and emotions that will have you hanging onto your seat. You get a wonderful plus sized heroine that's not afraid of adventure or sex and this heroine not only gets 3 but 4 hot demanding wolves, lucky dog LOL. This one was so intense I couldn't put it down until I read it all and then I was left with a surprise that had me crying.....

It was exciting to read which mate Bailey would take on next. All of the men are wonderful but you have to keep in mind the title of this book as you read. When she gets to the last mate something happens I can't say what happened because it's a big spoiler but I will say some of you may not like it, at first I didn't like it, but after I read the book it seemed very fitting. Then again I am still stunted that Eve would put this in her book but I know she has something up her sleeve.

If you love Eve's books you won't be disappointed with this one and if you have never tried her books please read the first one in this series first. This is a stand-alone but Eve puts little hints in her books that helps bring out the story even better if read in order.

Teaser
"Hey, wait a second. You bit me, so since you're a werewolf, does that mean I'm going to go furry on the next full moon?" The idea both fascinated and repulsed her.

A grin stretched his face, displaying his gleaming white teeth. "Sorry. But lycanthropy is something we're born with."

"Oh. So I don't need to invest in a flea collar?"

"Nah, those critters tend to stay away from our kind. But mosquitoes, however, love us."

Hello, my name is Eve and I am a Canadian author who loves to write hot romance, usually with werewolves, cyborgs or aliens.

I should warn you that I possess a twisted imagination and a sarcastic sense of humor something I like to let loose in my writing. I enjoy strong alpha males, and shifters. Lots of big, overprotective shifters. I am also extremely partial to aliens, the kind who like to abduct humans and then drive them insane...with pleasure. Do you like something a little darker? Then check out my cyborgs whose battle with humanity have captivated readers worldwide.

I love to write, and while I don't always know what my mind is going to come up with next, I can promise it will be fun, probably humorous and most of all romantic, because I love a happily ever after.

Thanks so much for coming by and checking me out. If you'd like to know more, read some excerpts or find out what's coming next, then please visit me at http://www.EveLanglais.com
