Editorial Reviews

Review

“I predict that this practical, helpful book will be a dog-eared companion to many new parents. It is an authoritative guide to all aspects of infant care from growth to behavior and development. Best of all, Robin Weiss’ reassuring voice and nurturing style makes it feel you have a wise friend at hand to help you anytime, day or night.” —Elizabeth Pantley, Bestselling author of the No-Cry parenting book series, including the classic book on sleep, The No-Cry Sleep Solution

Robin gives a pretty unbiased view of bringing up baby, however, she does mention co-sleeping, attachment parenting, baby-wearing, breastfeeding all in a positive light. All of which I liked. She has Hot Mama tips, Affirmation quotes and Mama Moments in her sidebars throughout the book to offer encouragement to moms desiring to get back in shape, on baby’s development and mama’s mothering. The photos of the mothers and babies throughout the book are beautiful - THEFASHONABLEBAMBINO.COM

5.0 out of 5 stars Favorite New Baby Gift, January 5, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Better Way to Care for Your Baby: A Week-by-Week Illustrated Companion for Parenting and Protecting Your Child Using the Latest and Safest Techniques (Paperback)
Everyone around me seems to be having babies. This is my favorite new baby gift. So many of my friends inform me that this book goes right on the bedside table next to either their bed or in the nursery. The author is very knowledgable and practical. There is a lot of down to earth, quality information that alleviates anxiety and makes for a more confident mother.
