I received my egg cooker today and had to test it out. Perfect - and I do mean perfect! - hard cooked eggs in minutes. Very simple to use. I was so impressed I just ordered another one for my parents! Will do a follow up review if any problems come up.

I have had the egg cooker for about two weeks now and it has performed flawlessly every time I have used it. There is a minimal amount of effort getting the unit ready to cook and the eggs have come out perfect EVERY time.

Eggs turned out great. I only wish the buzzer sounding off when cooking was done was louder. I would recommend this product.

The build is a bit flimsy and I don't expect it to last for very long (Made in China, after all), but it very quickly makes hardboiled eggs without having to boil water and increase the humidity in your living space. One bonus from this cooking method is how easy they are to peel, I sometimes had problems with boiled eggs, so far, every one peels easy.

This is a great product. My eggs come out perfect every time. One small problem; you have to stay close when using it as the finish alarm is not very loud and the machine does not stop automatically, but it is worth the wait (which is short).

I LOVE this product. I only use the hard boiled egg setting. No broken eggs in the boiling water, no having to remember how long you've been boiling them for. Just plug in the machine and focus on other things. This is important to me. I have too many details to keep track of as it is. The eggs peel super easy so they look pretty on your salads! And cleanup is a breeze.

The device actually steams the eggs inside of their own shell--it causes the eggs to separate from the shell from the inside. Hence the easy peeling.

At first I was having trouble with this device, but then I figured it out. First of all, I didn't realize I was going to have to poke holes in my eggs-- so when I received the device, and it said I had to do that --I had a mental resistance to that. I don't like touching slimy things so I was really nervous while I was learning to put the round part of the egg on the spike and push down to poke the hole. It's like popping a baloon on purpose--kind of gives a nervous charge. Let me tell you, I have not shattered a single egg doing this. It's fine. It works great.

The other thing is the measuring cup. Again, I only do the hard boiled setting. The instructions say to cook 7 eggs, fill to the 7 line. But I thought to myself, that can't be right. THe measuring cup numbers from 1 at the top of the cup and counts to 7 going lower on the cup. the 7 mark would be less water than the 1 mark. I just assumed I would need MORE water to cook MORE eggs. So I assumed that what the instructions actually MEANT to say, was to fill to the 1 line, which is the fuller cup. WRONG! This caused eggs to explode and messy cleanup.

If you actually follow the directions and fill the water up to 7 for 7 eggs, it works perfectly. No explosions.

This product seems cheaply made, and I don't know how long it will last. However, it cooks eggs fast and perfectly. Much easier than boiling them in a pot. We eat a lot of hard-boiled eggs, so it saves me time, and it is worth having another gadget around.
I lost the cup measurer that goes with the product, so I had to buy an additional cooker. I bought a small Anchor glass measuring cup that measures in TBS and tsp, and used it to convert the new egg cooker cup measures into TBS. Here are the measurements for hard-boiled eggs:

7 hard-boiled eggs: 4.5 TBS
6 hard-boiled eggs: 5 TBS
5 hard-boiled eggs: 5.25 TBS
4 hard-boiled eggs: a tad under 6 TBS
3 hard-boiled eggs: a tad over 6 TBS
2 hard-boiled eggs: 6.33 TBS or 19 tsp
1 hard-boiled egg: a tad under 7 TBS

I hope this saves someone else the trouble of having to buy a duplicate egg cooker. Now I just have to find someone to give my extra.

I bought this egg cooker because I was tired of dealing with boiling water and setting a timer. After looking around on Amazon I settled on this one for the price and reviews. The cooker did its job while it worked but stopped functioning correctly after a month of use.

I have cooked around 8 batches of eggs with no issues but when I tried to use it this morning the buzzer now goes off immediately when the unit is plugged in. I have taken care of the cooker by cleaning it after each use and it has not been dropped or damaged. It was also last used it a few days ago. I may send it in under warranty but it will cost me roughly what it is worth for the postage not to mention the time packing and mailing with no guarantee the replacement unit wouldn't have similar issues.

I'd recommend spending a little extra to get something that lasts.
