The sharp plastic edges on this magnetic towel bar scratched my brand new fridge. The magnets are not strong enough to keep it from moving and scratching the surface it is mounted on.

I bought mine from "Get Organized" through Amazon, but this looks like the same one.

I have absolutely no place for a towel bar in my kitchen near my sink. I desperately needed a magnetic solution. This worked perfectly on the side of my refrigerator. The magnets are pretty strong!

Yes, it will move if you pull hard on it, but it stays in place pretty well with the rubber feet and angle it rests the feet. I choose to lift towels off instead of just tugging from the bottom on one side. I do use hand-towels while they are on the rack without problem. It does move down the side an inch or two over months of use in my kitchen and I easily just move it back up. Sure, if you pull hard on it, it will move, but for me under normal wear and tear, it stays put. Yes, the sliding magnets can scratch, but the scrathes for me are very tiny and barely noticeable. If you slide anything metal on metal, of course it has a potential to scratch. The rubber feet don't scratch. You can barely see any tiny scratches after a full year of use at my house.

I am *extremely* happy with mine.

The magnets are plenty strong, it is nice looking, and small enough to fit on any metal surface in a kitchen. Not big enough for a kitchen towel, say, to dry without folding it over a little.

The towel bar works well but make sure it's where you want it when you put it on a metal surface. When I tried it out on my white refrigerator I had difficulty removing it because the magnets are so powerful. When I pulled, the magnets came unstuck from the towel rods and I had to glue them back. When I finally pried them off, a little white paint came off the frig. Other than that I'm very happy with the towel rod.

I sent the towel bar back because one magnet was missing.I got another one and one magnet is weak and it won't stay put on the frig.Nancy McNabb

Wanted to love this towel bar. Really needed it to work. Alas, one of the magnets was super weak and the bar ended up on the floor daily. Tried to fortify it with another magnet underneath it but no luck. Threw it away.

I purchased the Better Houseware 2409 Magnetic Double Towel Bar to replace an earlier magnetic towel bar on my refrigerator. The prior bar was plastic with attached magnets and it was prone to fall down from time to time, eventually breaking the plastic. The new (2409) bar is all metal with super strong magnets which keep it snugly in place. I am really pleased with it.

I bought this two years ago to hold hand towels in my tiny kitchen. I have it on the oven door. It works perfectly. It doesn't slide around even with routine opening and closing the oven door, it hasn't scratched or marked the door in two years, and it holds large hand towels within easy reach. It is exactly what I needed.

I have had this towel bar for 6 months or so. It worked fine on my dishwasher, but I got a new dishwasher and was afraid the magnets would leave marks on it, so I moved it to the side of my refrigerator. My refrigerator has a more "textured" surface. Anyway, it won't stay in place. It continuously slides down. I will throw it away as soon as I find something to replace it with. It isn't worth a dime!!

I bought this to place on my fridge (because our cat chews on towels anywhere within reach). I disagree with some of the other reviewers-- the magnets are super strong and stay in place whenever I take towels off or put them on. Also, there's no chance of it scratching our fridge (which was a concern because ours is stainless steel and can be scratched easily because the two points that touch the fridge (not counting the magnets) are covered with a thick, clear rubber/plastic piece. Besides, the magnets are so strong, it's really tough to slide the towel bar anyway. I definitely recommend this towel bar.
