You would think that a dish rack would be rust resistant, well not this one! I bought this not even 6 months ago (don't remember but I know it hasn't been 6 months) and the handles inside the plastic are completely rusty, it looks awful! I would definitely not recommend it.

I looked high and low for the over the sink dish drainer, and stopped here. Now I have my mother and daughter requesting I order this item for them.

ASIN B0000DDZU2 - Between the loss of counter space and the ick that grows on the mat under countertop drainers, it was time for a change. And some serious disinfectant. So I picked up one of these!

This drainer fits most sinks because it expands. The handle-like bars on the sides slide to fit various widths and have a thin clear plastic covering on them. The plastic covering keep the bars from scratching your sink. One negative to the expanding part is that there's no locking mechanism, which means it can UN-expand unexpectedly. This has resulted in the entire drainer - usually full of dishes - dropping into the sink. It's about a 3" drop, so nothing has broken, but it's a consideration, especially for those with deeper sinks. On the gross-experiment side, I went without washing the drainer for a month, just to see what would grow on it and the answer is... NOTHING! Excellent result! Stainless steel doesn't rust, either, so everything, from the dishes to the drainer to the sink itself, everything is shiny clean.

I will probably buy another drainer one day and the odds are really good that I'd buy this one all over again, unless I find one that has the locking mechanism that this one is lacking.

...and have a double-sink. This works just as advertised. I bought one for my Mom who lives alone and it changed her life. No more wet counters or crusty dish racks. Very stable when extended to fit (one size fits all). Not cheap, but a good value. I bought a second one for my sister who also lives alone.

4.5 immediately. Stood the test of times and looks very decent day after day. Sometimes I find people just puts everything on top (pots, plates, etc) and it just takes it all. A sure winner, highly endorsed! 4.5 Stars!

Although it took close to 2 weeks for this product to ship...once it came it worked great. We were replacing an old, plastic, stained, never-fit-quite-right drainer for this and love it. The expandable feature makes it easy to fit into any sink size.

I like the basic design and the fact that it won't rust. Other drainers we've had have rusted through the coating. I would have liked to be able to get one with a larger capacity and tabs to hold cups and glasses.

I wanted stainless steel in particular to match my sink and for ease in cleaning. Most I saw were pricey but this one satisfied my budget. The adjustable feature permits a good fit on a range of sink sizes and the removable flatware holder can be placed anywhere on the drainer that works best. I LIKE IT!

I am so happy with this product. It simply expands to fit the sinks perfectly. Nice and compact. Perfect for a small space and especially if it is just for one person. Cleans up nicely too.
