4.0 out of 5 stars NICHE ... Finding It and then Knowing You've Found It
Kathy is truly one of those people anyone will feel comfortable talking to about anything. She is comfortable talking and being infront of the camera which is obvious to anyone that tunes into QVC. Kathy could sell mud on the air and we would be happy to buy it. The book is amazingly forthright most of the time but does gloss over some important events in her life...

3.0 out of 5 stars good book
The book wasn't in the best of conditins, but was readable and I enjoyed it alot. I realize it is an older book and would explain the condition. Good seller and quick delivery.

4.0 out of 5 stars NICHE ... Finding It and then Knowing You've Found It, November 6, 1997

This review is from: It's Better to Laugh...Life, Good Luck, Bad Hair Days & QVC (Mass Market Paperback)
Kathy is truly one of those people anyone will feel comfortable talking to about anything. She is comfortable talking and being infront of the camera which is obvious to anyone that tunes into QVC. Kathy could sell mud on the air and we would be happy to buy it. The book is amazingly forthright most of the time but does gloss over some important events in her life. Too little is said about the change from hired employee to contract employee, this is a major move and how her co workers feel about her "Diva" status. All in all the book tells enough to be entertaining without being mean to a single soul. Well done.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Really Enjoyable Book, January 16, 2006

I loved this book so much that I bought it for a friend as a Christmas gift. Kathy Levine wrote this book with honesty. I admire her for that. I think it took courage to be able to write a tell all book. I watched Kathy for many years as host on QVC. If you are a shopping network buyer, and you knew Kathy, then you would really enjoy this book. Even if you didn't shop the Q, I am sure that you would love reading this funny heartwarming book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very Interesting, November 24, 2002

I really enjoyed watching Kathy Levine on QVC. I was interested in what she had to say by reading some of the reviews. I purchased this book and couldn't put it down. She talks about behind the scenes of QVC and the Jeff & Judy Crowell saga. I never knew about those two. I think you will get a good kick out of this book. You can see Kathy on HSN now, but not as a host but a vendor with her own clothing line.

5.0 out of 5 stars WITTY, WACKY, WONDERFUL!!!, February 10, 1997

Kathy's rendition of her life story is absolutely fantastic! She does not 'sugar coat' any part of her life. One has a sense of knowing the real Kathy after reading this book. The story is an 'easy' read and one that holds your attention completely! Keep up the good work Kathy! I'm looking forward to your next book!

4.0 out of 5 stars If you're a fan of QVC and Kathy, you will love this book!, November 15, 1996
By A Customer
This review is from: It's Better to Laugh...Life, Good Luck, Bad Hair Days & QVC (Mass Market Paperback)
Kathy explains her start with QVC and allows readers to get behind the scenes. Now you really find out what happened with "Jeffrey". Not only does Kathy share with the reader her "ups and downs" in life, she also shares how she got through them. An interesting note, Kathy also supplies a glossary of the Jewish words she uses. If you enjoy QVC and Kathy, you will definitely love this book. I just wish there were more behind-the-scenes "stories". Maybe in Kathy's next book

4.0 out of 5 stars A love letter to her fans, July 27, 1997
By A Customer
If you love Kathy Levine, you will love this book. If you have ever wondered about the behind the scenes goings on, how products (and vendors) are selected and what is involved in becoming and working as a host for QVC, then you will find this book on cassette very interesting. Even though it is an open, candid picture of our friend Kathy and a great behind the scenes look at the world of QVC, I was hoping for a little more. Where I guess I thought I might find some warm and touching tidbits and observations on life, what I received was a very lengthy love letter to her fans. It was a little disappointing, but I'm glad I gave it a listen. (twice) As a first effort, I'm sure Kathy was only scratching the surface and look forward to a sparkling and insightful second effort.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is uproarious, no-holds-barred fun!, January 26, 1997

This review is from: It's Better to Laugh...Life, Good Luck, Bad Hair Days & QVC (Mass Market Paperback)
You'll feel as if you really know Kathy Levine when you'rethrough with this book! She doesn't bother to cover thewarts or gloss over the faults in this frank and funnybiography. There are some really delicious behind-the-scene glimpses of the way things are done at QVC, and the"insider" knowledge regarding celebrity guests (especiallyJoan Rivers) makes the book worth a read. It can takeyour mind off ANYTHING
