I hate reviews that don't tell you what you need to know, so here's what you need to know:- Attaching it to the wall can be done by screws or by using the included adhesive. The adhesive is a silicone based stuff that, once attached, pretty much isn't going anywhere ever. So if you stick it up, get it right the first time, it's not coming back off. - The three units are individually removable from the base unit for easy refilling; they just slide off and on. These units can also be purchased separately if you accidentally break one. - Priming the pumps is tricky at first. Follow directions precisely, you have to press the button in, cover the outlet hole with a finger, let the button come back out, uncover the outlet hole. Repeat all 4 steps until you get the stuff in there. - The pump mechanisms are fairly basic, I can't see how one would break other than the spring going bad. However, they don't pump a lot of fluid. I usually have to press it 4-5 times to get enough shampoo out for use. The thickness of the fluid being used makes a slight difference here. - The whole unit is a bit larger than I expected. It's about 4 inches deep and fully a foot across. But it's fine when mounted. - The base for the dispenser has some little plastic hooks on it, handy for hanging various items from. Don't hang anything heavy though, the hooks will break and then how do you replace the base which is permaglued to the wall? Stick with very light things on ropes. And hang them high so pets can't reach them and add more weight.

Works well, but.......,

It works well, and I have enjoyed having hands free, but the fake chrome finish corrodes into a nasty green stuff that smears along the lid and other parts of the dispenser. I don't really wanted that stuff in my kids' hair, etc. I noticed the white one, without the chrome, is fine. Not buying the chrome one anymore.

We love our Aviva three chamber dispenser so much that we installed one in our daughter's first apartment. The unit is easy to install with the adhesive provided. It is a snap to fill and refill the chambers. And I love that we no longer have multiple bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash cluttering up our bathtub and shower. I think this would make a great gift for people with arthritis because you can get shampoo etc out of the dispenser with one hand -- and without struggling with opening lids of bottles.

Overall, I really like this product which I purchased about 2 years ago. It still looks great and I receive many compliments on the way it looks in my bathroom. It was easy to install, has not budged since installed, and priming the pumps was easy when the directions were followed. It saves space in my samll shower too. The only thing that might be a problem is that the shampoo, conditioner and body wash I use are all reacting a bit on the inside of the lids and turning the the lids green. I try and be careful when I refill the containers, and so far it only affects the inside, but I suspect at some point it will eat away at the chrome plate on the outside and make the appearance look funny. However, I have been really pleased with the looks and function of this product. These are so much better looking and easier to use than multiple bottles in the shower. No mold has grown around the base unit, and I like that I can buy the inexpensive products (I always use) in bulk and fill up dispensers w/o having the big bottles in the shower.

Good dispenser,

Nice dispenser for the shower, mounts with adhesive (good because there is no need to drill into your shower enclosure, bad because it ain't never coming off). The caps on top can sometimes be difficult to replace, and filling can be awkward, depending on placement. Overall a good product.

Very attractive and useful,

The satin finish and the design are very attractive. I had to pump each chamber about 100 times to get it primed but after that it worked great. You might want to prime it with water instead of shampoo to get things going. The directions, which I lost, said something about priming.Installation was easy. It includes both glue or 4 short adhesive strips. I went with the adhesive strips and it seems secure. I figured if I ever have to remove it, I could just pull it off and use Goof Off to remove the adhesive. If you fill one of the chambers with body soap, I recommend Neutrogena Rainbath Refreshing Shower and Bath Gel, Original Formula and a natural sponge. I bought a synthetic sponge that looks like a natural one at Wal-Mart and it's a little rough.

It takes many, many, many pumps (8-9) to get enough cream liquid out. I end up diluting my shampoo/conditioner so quicker to dispense. Works fine with thin liquid soaps. Not perfect, but keeps shower looking neat.

Great for kids' bath,
This review is from: Better Living AVIVA Three Chamber Dispenser, Chrome (Health and Beauty)
We bought this for our young kids' shower. It makes it so much easier for them to get their soap/shampoo/shower gel. Our goal was to make them more independent, and it sure works well. I was concerned that it wouldn't stay on the wall as we mounted it onto a "fake tile" with lots of grooves and ridges. It's been a month, and it feels rock solid.

I bought this unit based on all the positive reviews of it here. Sure enough, it works and I'm happy with this dispenser. The reviews were right. When I told my wife I was going to install one of these, she was hesitant, now she loves it and wishes we had bought it sooner.Installation is easy. You can mount it with either tape+silicon gel or with screws. Use the tape and included silicon gel and save yourself the hassle and risks of drilling through your shower wall. In case you are wondering, this is made out of plastic with a chrome looking finish. |
